    I got in touch with the director at UCONN, they are still reviewing applications, and no given date to receive a decision by.

    I hadn't checked my snail mail for a few days, turns out I actually received a response from Tyler! rejected. ouch. the lesson? go outdoors and check your mail, I guess

    Long suffering painter checking in! I sent emails because I got super impatient. Tyler and Purchase both say they will be sending decisions by the end of the week! UCONN has yet to reply, which is very frustrating. one way or the other i'll be back by the end of the week with an update for the other schools. also here's a good image I found recently which summarizes my mental state

    Painting/drawing person here, I was accepted to UMASS at dartmouth! it really looks like a dream but I have doubts I can make the money work. anyone with any hot tips on asking for more feel free to slide in the DMs. I also interviewed at SUNY Purchase, but no response yet. that was a week and a half ago. No not yet, nor have I heard from Tyler at Temple! I want to bang my head on a wall until emails happen.

    I also haven't heard from Temple. However from last year's thread it looks like it was as late as mid-march that people heard back. so I think we're good for now

    I see lots of MICA prospects ITT; I did my undergrad there so if y'all decide to attend and would like a lil advice, i've got you.

    I looked in last year's thread, searched school names and looked at post dates. I was so impatient! but now I at least have a sense of when they reached out with decisions last year! y'all might like to do the same. fyi Purchase, UCONN, and Tyler were early-mid march. so now imma just focus on my work for a couple weeks before I let them creep back in my thoughts haha. good luck homies (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

    Yes, I got to speak with one of the faculty. I was very appreciative of the conversational style- it was more like getting to meet somebody new, versus being analyzed by a bunch of strangers, like how some interviews can feel.

    Interviewed with UMASS Dartmouth. it seemed to go well, though even with my preparation it seemed difficult to talk about transferring (since I am presently in a different MFA program). I don't know anyone else who has done this in grad school so it's sort of uncharted territory. I have still not heard back from Tyler at Temple, SUNY Purchase, or UCONN. fingers crossed!
