  1. Thank you! I did not interview with them. I just attended an event at one point in the fall, then spoke with them at a PH grad fair a little while ago when they told me when to expect decisions, and then that allowed me to email last week to ask about decisions. I've only interacted with them because I bug everyone. ? I don't think they interview. I wish you luck! And also for JHU! I applied to their PH Informatics track. Implementation Science is a really cool one too. Keep us posted!
  2. Thank you! Over the moon.
  3. Rutgers DrPH folks -- I've been accepted! I am so thrilled and in disbelief. This is my first doctorate cycle and so far I've just received a rejection, so I am just so absolutely happy about this. I have really loved every interaction with Rutgers so I know it'll be great if I accept. I applied to the fellowship program at JHU so since that'd be full funding, I'd probably have to choose that one if I get in. But that's getting accepted to that program plus the fellowship, so I'm not holding my breath too hard there. In any case, check your emails.
  4. I also reached out to Rutgers on the 7th and was told within a week or so. And still no word. I have been way too excited to hear from them early since they'd originally (a few months ago) stated that decisions would go out in late January. Then it was first week of Feb. Then a week or so. And now we're into the 3rd. I know "a week or so" could mean 2 weeks or more, so I'm trying to remind myself of that. But I'm super anxious to hear from them. I don't have any apps into your other places so can't speak to them.
  5. Thanks for these tips. I always thought UNC was the smallest chance I had based on the particular cohort model and requirements to be quite advanced in your career (I have 10 years in PH with 7 of those post-masters), but then the application was so involved and such a pain that I started to think maybe fewer folks would apply because of that and I'd have a good chance. ? Not exactly an assumption based on any sense of reality. Your positive words help.
  6. Ugh. Just got a rejection from UNC DrPH. When I saw the email that a decision had been reached, I knew right away it was a rejection. They started interviewing applicants 9 days ago, I never received an interview invite, and decisions weren't supposed to come out until March. Hard, solid rejection. Oh well. Still waiting on Rutgers, Hopkins, and UIC.
  7. Haha I did this yesterday! I received a response this morning and it was very lovely. I was told they are in the final stages of decisions and will be sending them out "over the next week or so". I have really enjoyed every interaction I have had with Rutgers. I've read the email reply like 100 times in the last 2 hours since I got it ?
  8. Ooh, it's interesting to know that you had until the end of Jan to get LsOR in. I think I'd forgotten that part, and had all of mine in by the app due date. That leads me to agree that they may still be reviewing applications. I'll admit I have become completely unreasonable and dramatic getting discouraged so early, when decisions really aren't sent out until March. I think maybe being here with all the PhD students getting earlier decisions has been bad for my mental health. And yet, I'm still here. ?
  9. Someone, not me, did receive an invite the morning of Feb 1. I also applied to this program and have checked my email constantly since that morning and haven't received anything. When I last spoke with them I failed to ask if all potential candidates receive interviews or just some (like Hopkins - they only interview as needed and admit without them). I was told that interviews are held in Feb and decisions sent out in March. I'm losing hope for that one, unfortunately. It's such a great program. :'-(
  10. That was me. They just told me "in the first week", but also that if I don't hear by "the end of the first week" I can reach out and ask. I haven't heard anything either. From anyone. ? I figure that I'll reach out mid-next week if I haven't heard by then. I'll give through the 7th officially. But it's killing me. I also don't know what to think about the lack of interview invites from other schools, and how much to freak out about that.
  11. AAARRGGGHHHHHHH Congrats!! That's huge. Seriously, that program is incredible and the admissions criteria are steep. ***checks spam and refreshes email every 5 seconds*** ?
  12. I'm definitely hoping we will all have the same timelines to accept! I'm expecting Rutgers this week, have no idea about UIC, and we both know JHU and UNC are SO late. Ugh. March - April? Hopefully we'd at least hear about interviews for UNC in the next week or so, as they said they're conducted in Feb and each candidate is given a range of dates/times from which to choose. It's nice to see another UNC applicant! Best of luck to you!
  13. I emailed UNC for DrPH decisions details last week (I'm getting so antsy!). I was told they review apps in January, conduct interviews for selected students in Feb, then they try to have decisions made by end of March or early April. Any other UNC DrPH candidates in here? That program and JHU are the ones that interest me the most, I think. Although Rutgers is intriguing for sure.
  14. I initially heard the DrPH admissions decisions timeline a few months ago during a virtual admissions info event. Then a few weeks ago I attended a virtual public health program info event where we could speak directly with admissions staff and that's when I asked if we were still on the same timeline as initially announced, and I was told it was looking like the first week of Feb and that we can reach out and as if we haven't heard by the end of the week.
  15. oooh thank you for the update. I know they're not supposed to be indicative of anything, but it's good to hear something is happening. Even if I haven't heard anything yet. I also applied to the PHI track. I've been wondering how popular that track is with applicants.
  16. Same, about needing online programs. I applied to the only 4 hybrid DrPH programs I could find. I don't know if you attended an intro session with Rutgers, but I did and it made me feel really good about the program. It's newer, so it isn't as well known, I think, but their plans for growth are impressive. Also, it's my understanding that the DrPH just got redefined a few years ago, so all schools had to revamp their programs, anyway. Best of luck to both of us!
  17. I'm with you! It's nice to see another DrPH applicant. It seems like our decisions are sent out so much later. Rutgers DrPH should come out this week or next. I was told by them that if I don't hear by the end of the first week in Feb, I can reach out and ask. Everyone else though... March. JHU just said probably LATE March during an event I attended last week. It's also nice to see someone else apply to Rutgers! I applied to Rutgers, UIC, UNC, and JHU.
  18. *Editing because I didn't correctly quote someone above. I'm with you! It seems like DrPH decisions are sent out so much later. Rutgers DrPH should come out this week or next. I was told by them that if I don't hear by the end of the first week in Feb, I can reach out and ask. Everyone else though... March. JHU just said probably LATE March during an event I attended last week.
  19. It is not the same for PhD. I attended the ASPPH fair yesterday and asked about timelines. Unfortunately for us DrPH folks, JHU said mid to LATE March. Argh! And for PhD, they said it'll all vary by department. Good luck!
  20. I'll stop lurking and finally post. I like seeing some DrPH applicants in here! I've seen a few JHU DrPH folks. I've applied to JHU, UNC, UIC, and Rutgers, all for the hybrid DrPH programs. At JHU I also applied for the American Health Initiative fellowship. As far as I know, JHU and UNC give decisions in March, not sure about UIC, and Rutgers is late January. So... now I'm checking my email constantly! Just torturing myself until March...
