Hi ! I'm sorry about that Could you let us know what your subfield is? I haven't gotten a rejection yet but I'm not reading too much into it since rejections do seem to come in waves every year

You're probably right but I'm (probably irrationally) choosing to remain hopeful that a few more will come in soon~ Mostly because in recent years the amount of acceptances posted have ranged between 6 and 12 and there has been some variance in terms of dates received within the same cycle. What that means for my chances is unclear though hahah

I asked about Northwestern when some acceptances came out and @CapTipps and @applicant19 claimed theirs ! I did see that Northwestern acceptances were spread out over a week or two in past cycles and their website does say that not all decisions come at once so I remain hopeful~

Congratulatiooons! And I'm also claiming a Vanderbilt acceptance !! So so happy :)) After getting rejected from UT Austin and Emory I was pretty convinced I wasn't gonna be accepted into any top 20 programs but here we are ! Also focused on CP/Latin America so fit is definitely an important factor. Your reassurance that Vanderbilt CP didn't seem to interview turned out to be correct, ty Now a little overwhelmed because I had really warmed up to the idea of going to GWU both because of location (which I would still greatly prefer to Nashville) and the fact there are several professors there that are a great fit. But deciding between the two is a good position to be in and I'm very grateful. I also wanted to thank everyone here for your reassurance and advice so far. Checking gradcafe results can become a very obsessive/harmful habit but its been so nice to be a part of this particular forum. Being able to voice random af concerns and thoughts (which I could not handle sharing with my loved ones to the degree we do here) and hearing yours has been very helpful during this time. Sending everyone good vibes and my best wishes and I hope you all get good news soon

I wouldn't assume that yet! They said they will contact applicants about interviews sometime between the first and second week of February so I'm keeping my hopes up~ Especially since one of the posts mentioning an interview said it was through their POI, meaning its not a mass, generic interview email from the department. So it wouldn't surprise me if they were sent out gradually

You're right, thank you! I just checked and the website does say "Decisions will be complete by February 2022, and we do not send all decisions at the same time." But that could mean both 1) not all acceptances are sent out at the same time and 2) acceptances are sent out first and rejections at another time. We shall see ! ?

Northwestern acceptances appear to have come out! Anyone claiming them?

People have posted both acceptances and rejections from Brown but I've yet to receive a decision email and my portal still doesn't show that a decision has been made. ? Is this the case for anyone else?

I agree with the previous posters~ Also, this forum is filled with very overwhelmed people waiting on pretty life-changing results so I'd be more careful with how you publicly describe and react towards the schools you do or don't get into as it can make an already difficult process even more difficult for everyone. I, for one, would consider it a dream come true to be accepted in a school like Madison. But I'm sure that rejection was hard on you so I understand, just food for thought
