I’ve been accepted to the UCSD math PhD program. I’ve heard that UCSD has great math research going on, but I haven’t heard as much about the experience and career prospects of PhD students there. Can anyone shed some light on what the academic quality is like? I’ve also been accepted to UC Davis, UC Irvine, and the math master’s at the University of Bonn, Germany.
