I got accepted to UNC as well. UNC is my top choice at the moment, unless NYU comes through. I visited the school last year and fell in love. Chapel HIll is a great place to live.

DId anyone get the email from SIS about being admitted to the Graduate Admissions event? Its an email about the receptions held in various locales around the country. Im trying to figure out if its a mass email or an email for those who have been accepted. Im still waiting on SIS and NYU.

Someone posted they got into UNC MPA program? Can u tell me when u got the call and by whom? did you have the interview and when. THANKS this waittt is insane!

Hey Everyone, Ive been invited to do a phone interview for an MPA program. Has anyone had a PHONE interview before? Any tips, things to consider? should I speak about future goals and how the program would help me achieve that? Anything you can think of that might help, would be of greatttt help! Thanks!

Hey Everyone, Quick question, So i got a call from one of the grad schools for policy. They said they were impressed with my app and loved my Personal statement. They said I am a strong candidate....buttt... They asked me if i really wanted to go to their school, as in would their program allow me to do what I want. They also mentioned how they would want to the program to fullfill my career objectives. ? random huh. I have 2 areas of interest, and one of them the school has, the other not so much. Anyways the phone call went well, I spoke to ad com people. Im kinda freaking out, i feel that maybe my app didnt present a strong enough case.

So the other day, I got a message from a second year Masters student. I did send an application to the school. In her message she said she wants to talk to me about my app, and formally introduced herself as a 2nd year. ANy thoughts, good or bad or not really anything? The school I am applying for is a masters, they generally receive about 100 apps, and invite about 50 for interviews. What do you guys think? thankssss!

i called a while ago and the min GRE as said on the phone was over 1300 and. generally they get over 400 apps, extend 100 offers. something like that. I would call and talk to an admissions advisor. hope that helped.

So I took the GRE today, and I was in utter shock. If you want to be mean, please dont reply. So heres my score Q-670, V-460. I never scored that low on verbal, the lowest I received on the prac exams was a 570. Im in shock. I really dont understand it. Im not using this forum to rant about it, though it seems that way. I just wanted to if anyone has had this happen to them, and what steps they took after. I was hoping to apply to MPP and various foreign policy oriented schools. I have a 3.8 gpa overall, double majors with 4.0 in each majors. 1 year abroad work experience, 2 years domestic Non profit and NGO. My chances, unless i retake are low. so any thoughts. thanks for reading and for (hopefully) responding. hopeful applicant! sara
