  1. That's wonderful! Both are strong offers, congratulations! I've received 50% from one of the programs plus the ability to TA and teach. My top choice has offered more in total, but it is a more expensive program, so it's only about 20% of the tuition. So I'm trying to decide if the larger loans will be worth the overall stronger program. Lots to think about. Best of luck with your decisions!
  2. Just wanted to give everyone an update and ask a general question. I've applied to Painting/Drawing programs. SAIC: Accepted! MECA: Accepted! Purchase: Interviewed last week Pratt: Interview next week It's now sinking in that I need to choose between at least 2 programs, and I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons of them all. I'm sure it's different for everyone, but what are the BIGGEST factors that will go into your choice? Funding? Ranking? Location? Faculty? Thanks in advance ?
  3. Anyone who applied to MECA: Check the promotions folder in your email! A link to my decision went there for some reason!
  4. Awesome! I watched it back when I was deciding which schools I wanted to apply to, and Pratt really stood out when discussing studio time/curriculum and interdisciplinary possibilities.
  5. Thanks for the info whitewhales! I applied for Painting/Drawing. How did you like the undergrad program?
  6. Hi everyone, It's my first time applying to MFA programs, and definitely getting the jitters as the results roll in. I've applied to: Yale, Rutgers (reject) SAIC (interview this week!) UCLA, MECA, SUNY, Pratt (still waiting on) If anyone has advice for the SAIC interview I'd be very grateful, and best of luck to you all!
