  1. Sadly I didn't get it. My score was 4.64/6. Thanks for all the solidarity this forum has offered. Committee Name: 5 - Economics; Law; Political Science; Management, Business and Administrative Studies; Industrial Relations Applications: 89 Fellowships Offered: 25 (28.1%) Fellowships Not Offered: 64 (71.9%) Score of last funded application: 4.88
  2. Both.... I'm waiting until I hit my writing goal for the day to open it, though (almost there). There's going to be a lot of feelings either way and I can't have them interfering right now.. Will post my results once I have the nerve to open.
  3. uh oh. Just got the e-mail. Guess I have to check it now????
  4. For what it's worth, profs have taken to pressuring SSHRC on Twitter in solidarity with the post-doctoral applicants they are hearing from. SSHRC responded to an initial inquiry as to the dates like so: "Postdoc: Applicants will receive access to the SSHRC Extranet for applicants shortly. All decision documents will be shared through this portal." When pressed on a definition of 'shortly', they specified (today, 1 hour ago, also on Twitter) that "By shortly we mean within a week." I'm so tired of this waiting game!!!!
  5. Yeah... if by some miracle my application is successful I'd be choosing between a 2 year teaching post in the US (48k USD/year) and the sshrc post-doc at 45k/year CAD, which is significantly less. I'd go for the latter for the prestige, networks, and research time it would give me, but my (non-academic, salaried) partner had some definite trouble understanding why!
  6. I'm still having such a hard time focusing on my writing. I know it won't do anything but I find myself refreshing e-mail every 30 minutes. It's not a good feeling..
  7. Also -- did anyone else get a survey link this morning? I thought it was pretty bold of them to send me this today, while I painfully await results!!! "We are contacting you because you applied for a scholarship from a federal granting agency or have been supported through an agency grant to a researcher. We are evaluating agency funding for graduate students and your perspective is important. Please provide your input by responding to our survey. This survey is being conducted by Circum Network Inc. on behalf of the granting agencies."
  8. Okay, I'll bite! Wednesday 11:45am CST. Hopefully msfinley is right, though!
  9. Unfortunately I think they were very intentional in their choice of language ;). Solidarity!
  10. I've started resigning myself to Monday, as well. Luckily I have plans with family this weekend so I'll be distracted. I've been waking up daily from an anxiety dream that the e-mail has arrived. It's been very hard to concentrate on work. I feel your pain, Amanda! I would really love for this to work out. It would allow me to take another opportunity I have to teach in the Fall (not a full-year gig, but a great CV line!) without being resigned to precarity for the rest of AY 2022-2023. Fingers crossed, everyone!
  11. Any news from anyone with an existing extranet account?
  12. I'm in the same boat -- no extranet account. I really hope they don't make us wait until Monday!!
  13. That's good to know, Amanda!
  14. Hi folks! Sending some solidarity to those waiting... it would be great to find out soon, hopefully we all hear back next week!
