Have been looking for a PhD program in Interdisciplinary or Independent Studies with concentrations in Hegelian and Marxist Philosophies intersecting with Frankfurt School of Critical Theory and current or historical (20th and/or 21st Century) Leftist or Socialist revolutionary activism without any luck. Any ideas?
Research Interests:
Marxist Philosophy, Background of Dialectical and Historical Materialism, Hegelian Philosophy, Leftist (Marxist and/or Anarcho-syndicalist) Revolutions since the mid-1800s, Feminism, Gender, and Queer Studies, Anarchist and Marxist Activism for Workplace Reform esp. IWW and other Radical Unionism, Cuban Revolution, Fidel and Raul Castro, Ernesto "Che" Guevara, Views on Women and LGBTQ Revolutionaries during the 19th through 21st Centuries, Failed Revolutions during the same time period such as The Spanish Civil War and The Grenada Insurrection which was quashed by US President Reagan and a Coalition from the Caribbean in 1983.
Also, interested in alternative media pertaining to these topics such as film, photos, etc.
