hi! nothing wrong with parsons program, i just had another first choice that answered me right away! i also don’t want to complicate the parsons admin people’s lives so withdrawing seemed easiest

just submitted a deposit and declined the other offers i received! its official now!!!! quick summary saic-accepted tyler-accepted u oregon-accepted parsons-interviewed, attempted to withdraw app but the coordinator's email no longer seems to be active????? cranbrook-accepted + going!

thank you! Good luck! yes, they told me to hang tight while they wait for funding. i assume its due to the fact they are part of a state school so there are more steps to the process.

Email the financial aid office and ask if they have a financial aid appeal process. I would avoid using the word "negotiate" as financial aid offices are audited. Once you know what the appeal process is, you either fill out a form or in some cases, you end up calling the financial aid officers and explaining your situation. There's usually wiggle room to give you more $, but do it sooner rather than later while there still are funds before its all appealed away.

That's where I received the 70% offer from! I think every department is on their own schedule though.

thank you for this advice! I really appreciate it. It's hard to ignore the physical $$ in favor of an abstract long term goal. I am currently drafting an email inquiring about financial aid appeal -- the admin work doesnt quit!

congratulations! I am having a similar issue. i received 100% tuition + $12k-$23k yearly stipend from 1 program and just received about 70% tuition from my top choice (location, faculty, ranking). I am not sure what my next steps will be and am finding it hard to focus on anything else!

just got an interview invite with Parsons TXT program. i’ve received offers from the other places i applied so i wonder why they are on such a different schedule.
