I just got an update again 1/12 7:30 pm. That's 4 updates in a month. Hopefully that means it's been passed on.

Hi! I think I had the Nov 25th update yes, and I applied ARO. I also just got a Dec 9 update.. Not sure why I got like 3 updates in 2 weeks but I'm gonna tell myself that's a good thing. Sorry about replying late, didn't check this thread btw.

Did anyone else get this email that me and my friend got? We thought it was personalized feedback (cuz of the spelling errors) until we realized we got the exact same email, what exactly are we supposed to get out of this lmao?

Honorable Mention-IM: E/E/E BI:G/F/G Got wrecked on broader impacts, they would've liked to see more leadership apparently. All 3 reviewers mentioned the proposal was one of the best they've read, which maybe is why i got an HM instead of no award. Guess that's not bad for my only shot at applying ?

Hey dude! I know it sucks, but as someone who also didn't go to grad school right out of undergrad, industry can help you get into grad school so don't give up!! I graduated and did a year at Samsung, and used the knowledge from there in semiconductors to parlay that into a grad school offer a year later. The only downside is getting used to the money, so make sure to save because it's hard to give up the standard of living (I go through an extra 500 a month of industry money savings or so). Just don't give up if research is what you want to do! The research based graduate degree will make it leagues easier to progress in industry too, and without one your path is significantly harder (still possible ofc). So if your passion is research please do yourself a favor and reapply next year and don't get too down about this. Funding was awful this cycle as well, my lab's best undergrad only got into our lab for grad school too for some insane reason.

I'd bet it's probably Friday because all the other ones have come out March anyhow? It might just be for preciseness. Have any come out in April in previous years??
