    Hi! Wanted to share I also just received a rejection from Laurier and my last name is S! Not the best news but feels kinda nice to hear anything at this point and stop the waiting.

    Hi! Just wanted to share that I checked my acorn and I was declined by u of t. Very confused since I was waitlisted last year and spent my year working relevant jobs but it is what it is! Good luck to everyone on the waitlist!

    Just wanted to share I just received an acceptance from the foundation program at Windsor (2 year)! Feeling super relieved because this is my second year and this process and the uncertainty it brings really is the worst! Still waiting on other schools but excited to have a good option! Good luck for everyone!

    I don't think you messed anything because it had to be filled out to submit the application! It's just the brief statements confirming you read a few things and did the research on how to become certified in your province. Strangely there's a long thing of instructions on the website which threw me off because the instruction on the application is "a brief statement".

    Hi! For people who applied to the UBC MSW did you write a thorough response or just one sentence statements for the statements of acknowledgement? I did one sentence for each but now I'm worried that wasn't enough (even though it says to write a brief statement).

    Congrats to everyone who has heard or been accepted somewhere! Does anyone know if there is another forum this year where ppl are posting on this topic? Super antsy and last years very active play by play of where the schools were at was very stress inducing but also kinda helpful? Thanks!!

    I am bad at this website and don't know how to reply, but my application for Carlton still says preliminary review required. Hoping it means nothing since they say on the website you will hear sometime in February. Edit: After learning that your status is different if you click on the link to check status below where it just says it on the base application my status is recommended for assessment so hopefully that means not too long from now!

    Hi everyone! I was wondering if somebody could give me some advice. I’m applying for a bunch of schools but feel super overwhelmed with this on top of full time work and volunteering to make my applications as good as possible, so I wanted to kick a school off my list but for the life of me I can’t decide which. Currently I’m applying to U of T, UBC, Windsor, Laurier, Carlton, and Western. If anyone has any thoughts thoughts or advice on how to choose that would be great! I have a high gpa from my final year (less high otherwise) and around 1500 hours of work experience just including the hours I’m positive will count, and am most interested in youth and adolescent mental health.

    Not to completely backtrack but has anybody with a last name after M heard from u of t? I’m trying not to keep hope if it’s unreasonable or irrational but also for only people in exactly the first half of the alphabet to have heard is kinda sus? maybe they are doing 2 sections of acceptances? not to say I would get in, I know my application wasn’t perfect - I just want to sort out where we are in this crazy awful (but hopefully fruitful) process lol

    I'm so sorry to everyone that didn't get into York. It sucks regardless but through this I'm trying to remind myself its not about being a bad candidate but rather that theres so much amazing competition and things will hopefully work out for everyone one way or another. For people that heard from York I was wondering what letter your last name starts with? I'm an S and havent gotten anything yet.
