  1. No, nothing yet, but I'm definitely assuming rejection now. I think it says on their website that the deadline to accept offers of admission was April 15th..
  2. For those who are asking about UOttawa's M.Ed program, the deadline to accept offers was March 15th for me. I actually recently sent an email cancelling my acceptance since I got into OISE, so someone's getting off the waitlist soon! Please keep us updated everyone!
  3. Hey everyone! Is anyone on the same boat as me; acorn has updated saying “invited” but still no email or update through the sgs portal? Others have told me that I’m accepted and there’s just a delay in getting the official email but I’m kind of catastrophising..
  4. Thank you so much for clarifying! :):) Congrats to everyone else as well! And thanks to the person that created this group which has really been my support system through this.
  5. I think Acorn is telling me I'm accepted, so pretty excited but also scared to tell people until I get the email in case I'm hallucinating or something. I'm so sorry to everyone who didn't get in. Hang in there everyone. And to those who are still waiting to hear back, please try to do what you can to get your mind off of it and ease your anxiety. This was brutal y'all.
  6. Hey! I will try to answer your questions to the best of my knowledge but others can please interject if I am not correct. 1. In regards to CRPO accreditation, just because a program is not accredited doesn't mean that they cannot license. When you go to get licensed by the CRPO you submit an application. If you went to an accredited program then you apply through the "recognized program" stream of the application, if it is not accredited then you apply through the non-recognized stream and its basically a longer application process and less guaranteed for licensure. Now for Mac specifically, I could be wrong but I heard that it's a fairly new program and in the process of being accredited. One thing you can do is a deep dive into the requirements for the CRPO and compare it with the curriculum of Mac's program and see if it lines up. You can also try your luck calling them and asking about anything you're unsure of (although they do say that they cannot give you a definitive answer on whether or not the program meets the requirements so keep that in mind). 2. You seem to be very set on UofT's program and very enthusiastic about it. So, I would say if you REALLY want it, keep trying! However, I also encourage you to reflect on your long-term goals. At the end of the day when you are practicing in the field, does it matter to you where you graduated from? Is there something in particular about the education at UofT that you feel you cannot get anywhere else, or is it a matter of prestige? Speaking for myself, I really struggled with this same question because I feel that I've worked hard all my life and I want to go to a program that's considered competitive as recognition for my efforts.. but also at the end of the day when I'm licensed I will be working alongside lots of people who got to this point through other maybe less competitive routes and are doing the very thing I want to do alongside me. So, try to think about those things a little more to help you with your decision. This ties in to #3 3. Regarding Yorkville, the deadline to apply for the September cohort has passed BUT they do have a January cohort, so if you decide to go with this route, look into the deadline for that. From what I understand Yorkville is accredited by the CRPO and prepares you for licensure as a psychotherapist; however, Adler goes one step further and I believe sets you up also to be able to register as a psychological associate with the CPO. What someone explained to me is that its more or less a private school version of a clinical psychology program but because they do not have a PhD available at Adler Toronto, it follows the requirements of the CRPO for licensure. I hope these answer your questions to some capacity. I am currently also waiting on OISE to respond, so I totally understand your frustration. Best of luck!
  7. 1. I'm wondering the same thing about Western. I emailed them and they said that they are not sure whether or not they will have another round of interviews. I'm not sure if anyone has received a rejection without having done an interview? 3. No I also have not heard back from OISE's CP program. A lot of others are on the same boat but I know that a chunk of rejections did go out, so I assume that no news is good news right now.
  8. I also heard back from MA CCP but not MEd CP. I'm at work and the email made my heart stop.. didn't get in though lol
  9. I am on the exact same boat as everyone who is extremely frustrated and confused having not heard back from OISE. Hang in there everyone! On another note, I'm seeing a lot of people who have not heard back from Ottawa and wondering if others have heard back. I applied to the MEd program at Ottawa and received a response mid-February and was accepted. I am seeing a couple on the forum saying they were accepted, couple saying they were rejected and a few saying they have not heard back at all. There's no interview for this program so this must mean there's a difference between those who were rejected vs those who didn't hear back, right? I would say not hearing back may be a good thing? Maybe you're on a wait list or they're still deciding on who to offer the last few spots to? I'm not exactly sure, but wanted to offer my theory for those who might be super anxious about it. Good luck everyone!
  10. Congrats to everyone on your acceptances! Wondering if anyone has applied to Memorial University's PsyD program and has received a rejection without having done an interview? I know that they did complete a round of interviews and I saw someone post that they were accepted on this forum. But I haven't received any response yet. So I'm wondering if they are just taking a while to inform us of our rejections or if they are keeping me on hold for a potential second round of interviews that might happen. Anyone know anything at all that can help me out? I tried emailing them and they just sent me a generic response that didn't answer any of my questions.
