  1. Also foreign institution here! From what I understand, offering you the CGS-D just means you got ranked near the top, but practically you would only end up with the PGS-D in terms of money, since the CGS-D is restricted to Canadian institutions only. I'm pretty certain you can't keep the extra money, but I have seen people add the extra line in their CV about declining the CGS-D in favour of the PGS-D. A friend of mine in a different committee also got the CGS-D this year, even though they were also at a foreign institution. Adding on to your second paragraph, do you know where and when we would check in June to see our feedback?
  2. Yup foreign institution! (UC Berkeley)
  3. Never mind, I just heard back! I got the PGS-D!!! For those keeping track: Committee 178, Physics and Astronomy (Specifically Astrophysics). Good luck to everyone still waiting!
  4. Well. From twitter it seems like most of the results out so far (out of a small sample size of people who tweet lol) come from people in biology so I can assume that it's probably staggered by committee. Hold on everyone else, it's coming
  5. Anyone in Physics/Committee 178 get the email yet?
  6. That doesn't make sense... Someone from SFU said they got the email
  7. Maybe the order is also related to the program and the committee it falls under?
  8. Any foreign institution applicants who got the email so far?
  9. I'm giving up on checking if it doesnt come out in the next 15 minutes. Should've just treated today like a normal day instead of dwelling on this.
  10. Yeah NSERC is just insanely slow. The NSF GRFP deadline was later and their results were announced almost a month ago. They also have like 10x the applicants as NSERC.
  11. To all the foreign institution applicants: Where are yall applying from? (I'm at UC Berkeley)
  12. I just don't understand why they have to send out the results at 5PM at the end of their work day. What if there's some issues? Would it not be better to send it out first thing in the morning?
  13. Ahh applying from a foreign institution makes this so stressful too, no school department to let us know first. Knowing NSERC, I feel like we still have quite a while to wait...
  14. It's finally 5 PM EST, anyone gotten an email from NSERC yet?
