  1. I will interested in getting phd in marketing. But, at this time, i do not have good LOR, No research experience. Only have BS in business. Would your recommend getting MBA-marketing specialization or MA marketing? Thanks. .
  2. Since i live in MN, was thinking around Midwest or any affordable MA. University of Minnesota does not offer MA terminal. Only en route to PHd. still doing research to see who offer MA. So far, i found, Universtiy of Wisconsin- milwaukee, Universty of missouri-colombia, University of Missouri-st Louis. University of Arkansa, Any recommendation for good MA.
  3. If i were to get MA in political science to strengthen my app before applying for phd, Would you recommend getting it from institution that offer MA only (whom they do not have phd programs) or getting from institution that offer both terminal MA and phd pol scie?
  4. hello! I am interested in applying for PhD management/marketing. one of the other. This is my goal. I would like to know what i can do to make myself (competitive) admitted to PhD management or marketing. My undergrad was in business. I have BS in Business Admin-Management concentration. 3.45 gpa cumulative and 3.7 business major gpa. Gradated last year, have been working as customer service manager at Wal-Mart. questions, 1. I know MBA in not required for admission. Some school that i looked at, student that they admitted have mba already. would you recommend getting MBA? would it help with admission to phd management/marketing. keeping in mind cost of mba, like 50 grand for ranked and 20 grand for an ok aacsb state mba. would you recommend 1st and 2nd tier mba or affordable aacsb state mba? 2. Do you recommend specialized masters, like MS management, arketing since these are more academic that mba? or MBA with specialization in management, what other master would you recommend. I think PhD in management does not have heavy quant math as in phd finance, econ, ect. i have not taken any advance math. only took what was required for business major. would you think this will hurt me apply to PhD management. what would you recommend. if i am lacking math class, i can always take it while doing masters, mba. Any other advice, suggestion is highly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
  5. Thanks! Do you think I have a chance at even lower tier? Are you phd program?
  6. Since u have BA in political science, u are familiar with the field. Why dont you apply straing to phd pls science? My siuation is diffrent. I have only BS in business, on one pol scie undergrad class. Became interested in pol scie. think of getting phd pol scie, but i think MA in political scince might help me to secure admission althought is not required. terminal MA at good school is pricey. I think i am going to get MA from good state school that will be affordable, then apply to phd. any sugggetion where to get MA? or not to get MA? good luck!
