I received an email today from WLU offering my a spot off the waitlist for the adavanced standing 2024 online PT MSW program. I have already committed to another program so I won't accept this, offer. I hope this opens up an opportunity for someone else :).

We must have been notified at the same time. I was waitlisted as well. I accepted another offer well over a month ago so I am going to continue in that direction. I hope others that have been waitlisted move off quickly and get accepted :)

Has anyone else received acceptance into the University of Windsor's advanced-standing MSWWP? I would love to connect.

I just heard back from Windsor for the advanced standing MSWwp today and I have accepted the offer

I attended an info session last Thursday. They said that they had not made any decisions yet, that there were hundreds of applications, and that they were hoping to review them and make a decision by mid-April.

The MSWwp will not be released till mid April.

I have no idea, but in my experience, they are true to what they indicate on their website in terms of when applicants are notified. I applied for Winter 2023 admission (the submission deadline was May 1st, 2022), and I was not notified until September 15, 2022, that I was waitlisted. They are always the last to notify.

They will not be posting decisions until April. I was told that they got hundreds of applications this time around.

I was denied entry into the U Waterloo full-time program today, and I am a bit flabbergasted. I will graduate with my BSW in May of this year, and my current GPA is 4.08/4.50 (second degree). I have all As and A+'s. I have over 44 0000 hours of experience (13 years in child welfare, 6 of those as a Child Protection Worker and 9 years working in addictions and mental health). I know my references were strong. I based my statement of intent on a policy paper on which I got an A+. Waterloo is not my first choice, and I still have two other outstanding programs, but it has set me back. For those who were admitted, may I ask you what your stats are? I am shocked that I did not even get waitlisted. I was at least waitlisted a year ago when I applied for the WLU PT regular track.

My last name starts with M too. I hope I hear back today.

I still have not heard yet. I wonder if they are going by last name? Do you mine sharing your stats?

Was this for fulltime or part time?

Waiting to hear back from the MSW program is definitely a test of patience. It almost seems to be the hardest part of getting an MSW, lol.

I applied there too. Did you apply FT or PT? The website indicates that we will hear back in March (?)

I am also currently completing my BSW. I have a 4.08/4.5 and 20 000 hours of experience working in child protection and mental health. I applied to Waterloo full time, WLU online p/t and U of Windsor for working professionals.

@Vaguirre I heard back from WLU this morning and I have been placed on the waitlist.

@cloudyskies Did you apply to anywhere else? I am currently entering into a BSW program, but I would prefer to get into the MSW program.
