Frankly- I'd strongly advise you to take a couple of years and get some work experience. Being in the field is much harder and you might change your mind later. Also- if you have couple of experience, it looks much better in your app.

I got into UW! Good luck everyone!!!

I need a chill pill! )) congrats lily and also - lemon drop. Your msw stats were super helpful. I hope I hear soon too. One or the other I think I just want to know. Trying to stay positive!

I feel like at this point, they are sending out rejection letters. Only 28 ppl get accepted, so why would they take a long time with ppl that get accepted?

that is insane. That's 2 in every 10 people. I think I'd agree with you there. I'm not getting my hopes up. I thought I had a strong chance, but I'm not so sure anymore....

I don't know. I'm originally from the bay area, currently living in Seattle. I applied to UC Berkeley and UW only. Both are my top choices..

Just read this from UW. The 2011-12 FAFSA on the Web is available as of January 1, 2011. The Priority Filing Deadline for 2011-12 is February 28, 2011. Your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should be transmitted/sent by February 22 and must be dated as received by the federal processor by February 28, 2011. You must list the "University of Washington-Seattle", Code #003798 on the form. glad I checked!!!!!

in Cali, FAFSA is due on March 2nd. What about UW? Anyone familiar with this process? Taking out loans, etc?
-
Also, how are people getting interviews, and getting accepted already? I sent my stuff in early Jan. I still have not heard anything.

Need someone to read my Berkeley MSW essay
evilpupil replied to evilpupil's topic in Social Workers Forum
yah. I felt as though UW and Berkeley are two ENTIRELY different programs. I felt like it reflected in their SOP prompt. UW- wanting a more self-reflective narrative, and Berkeley- wanting an academic paper. I definitely felt like I did two entirely different apps. Regarding aid- what do you mean? no Financial aid for UW? Loans then?
