Hi guys - May I ask if anyone got any updates on UCLA's funding? I received their offer over a month and still no updates in funding, and saw some latest offers in gradcafe commenting the committee is still in the process of figuring out the funding. I emailed the committee but no reply. Is anyone on the same page? I almost got scared if I was being excluded from funding consideration T T
hi, same boat. i got an email from my program chair this week and she said the PAL will be released by March 7, and the DGE fellowships statuses will be released late March. i would reach out to the program chair, i got a response to my Qs within a day. the professors probably don't know whats going on with funding unless they told you they'd support you with their grant.

Is anyone else REALLY struggling to stay calm/positive during this process? I hate just anxiously waiting and checking my email every ten minutes and looking at every update on the results page and overthinking everything and it is just taking a toll on me
really, really, really feel you here. the only time i am able to disconnect and not think about it all is when i am not home and off my laptop. even during work i am constantly checking everything. i need distractions!!!

has anyone had communication with CUNY and could mention how it went? a faculty member reached out to me to discuss my particular area of interest in one of the research centers there. i only mentioned the center briefly since there isn't much information online and i (regretfully) did not meet with them before applying.

after interviewing, do you think it's reasonable (/polite) to reach out to the POI for an application update or should we stick to the program directors and not bother the POIs?

i am definitely overthinking this but - i haven't gotten any emails yet to "create a portal", though i haven't heard back from any schools either. do they send portal invites to everyone at once? or maybe the schools i applied to don't use portals for admission decisions.

Hey! Looks like they are contacting people this week for interviews. I just got an interview scheduled for JHU MH for next week. They called it a “chat” so I am wondering if it will be 1:1 or if more people will be involved.
Wishing you all the luck!
i receive a similar invite to chat from tulane who previously ~specifically~ said they don't interview for admissions. i wonder what the difference of using the terms "chat" vs "interview" is!

Commenting to keep this forum going! Has anyone heard back about interviews yet/ when should we expect to start hearing about interviews?
not all the schools i applied to have interviews and the ones that did told me january - february they'd reach out i think pre-winter break is too soon to worry about this. the apps are probably still in the admissions committee review and haven't reached professors.

Hey guys, in SOPHAS app, would you recommend to include/add any Coursera certificates under the "Licenses and Certification" section that are more or less related to the field of study I am interested in ?
thanks a lot and good luck to us all
I think that's a great idea! Especially since much of public health training has been online in the past few years. I was going to add my CITI certs for that section.
Also -- anyone else still checking this thread? would love to connect! I'm applying to a long list of programs. Having a hard time narrowing it down when I am genuinely interested in the faculty's research. I know I should have reached out to faculty earlier to see if they're actually taking students. I only truly started this process in October, sent a few emails and haven't received responses - which I'm not reading into.
Would love to hear if anyone is also applying to these!

do you have to accept by 4/15 or can you wait until GWU tells you if you get the scholarship?
