  1. Same, also a rejection. I got an email asking to check the portal. I got my masters from HGSE too but didn’t get any interview this year. It’s alright though; there’s always next year. Congrats to those who got in!
  2. Is there anyone else still waiting to hear back regarding the PhD? I did not get interviewed but haven’t been rejected either. I’m expecting a rejection but was wondering if there are others also waiting for a decision.
  3. Thank you for the kind words. ❤️ I’m also trying to stay positive. Just waiting for this month to be over with though! Lol
  4. I got my first rejection late last night and second rejection this morning. I live abroad now, so technically they were both sent out on the same day. I’m expecting my third rejection this weekend or on Monday from the school were I got my masters. And I haven’t heard anything from my fourth (final) school. I have had no interview invitations or anything from anyone, though I thought I had a very good research and teaching background. I’m not even in my 20s anymore, so next year will be my final year trying. Everything will be okay, but it just sucks to have to go through this at the moment and realize that I’m just not good enough despite any of my efforts.
  5. Checked my portal just now. Didn’t get any email, but the portal shows a rejection. Congrats to those who got in!
  6. Oh, are they sending out decisions for masters at the same time as PhD? That’s interesting. Mine was for the latter. Congrats on the acceptance and scholarship!
  7. Just got my rejection now (9:18 a.m. EST) Good luck to everyone else!
  8. Has anyone heard back anything (interview, acceptance, rejection, etc.) from the PhD program in Comparative and International Education (CIE) or even overall from the International & Transcultural Studies department for PhD?
  9. Same here. It shows as "Decided" and the checklist of materials has disappeared.
  10. My application portal no longer shows the checklist of materials. It was showing even as of yesterday but the page is mainly blank now. I think it might be today (Friday).
  11. Not this year, but I applied a few years ago to that program and was accepted.
  12. Me too. I didn’t get an interview either, but my POI told me decisions can be made until early March. From this website, it does seem like most decisions went out by mid-February last year, however.
  13. My application status had said “Awaiting Decision” since September, when I submitted my application. If I recall correctly, it said the same yesterday too. But I checked the portal just now and it has switched to “submitted.” I did not get an interview and don’t have hope anymore for admission, but I do wonder if the results will be released soon. Has anyone gotten a decision yet?
  14. Congrats to those who got interviews. Did anyone who applied to the CIS program get an interview yet?
  15. Same here! Nothing from HGSE, Stanford, UPenn, or Columbia TC...
  16. Nope. Haven’t heard back from any of my schools at all.
  17. Wow, that's earlier than I expected. Thank you for letting us know and congrats!
  18. If you look back at one of my earlier posts from a few days ago on this page, you’ll notice that I found out the following: Fall 2022: One person on Thursday, January 13; one person on Friday, January 14; and one person on Friday, January 28 Fall 2021: Two people on Friday, January 22, and one person on Monday, January 25 Fall 2020: Three people on Friday, January 17, and one person on Monday, January 20 Fall 2019: Four people on Friday, January 18 Based on this, I think that it’s not all on the same day and that there’s still a chance to hear back if we haven’t already (unless of course if people submitted their results to GradCafe late).
  19. @CreamsodaWow, you should post this in the “UPenn GSE 2023” thread! There might be some who would be interested to know this information but haven’t applied to HGSE so may not see this post!
  20. Awww, thanks. ☺️ I like your positive take on things too. I think I’ll do the same. I’ll just put my phone on silent, go to sleep (different time zone), and just check my emails in the morning. If there’s nothing by then, I can just mentally check out too until Tuesday! Although if they do send out any invites after the last day of J-Term, that certainly would be the first time in at least a decade! But really, anything can happen, so all we can do is just wait and hope!
  21. Hehe no, it’s alright! It was just a coincidence. It was actually a monthly email from something I’m still involved in but any university email with an official banner popping up during this month, especially in these few weeks, make me extra cautious. Lol
  22. I get alumni emails from HGSE and one just came in now right on the hour with the school name in the notification banner. I basically just suffered a heart attack…
  23. Hey, everyone. I think I've finally figured it out and I think I may have been off by one week... Sorry if I'm annoying anyone with my posts. ? I don't mean to make anyone anxious! I just like looking for patterns in things and am also waiting in anticipation. Earlier, I thought that people started posting about Stanford PhD interviews generally on the Monday or Tuesday of the fourth week of January (making it likely that we might start hearing back on January 23 or 24 of this year). However, I now think that it might actually have more to do with Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which falls on the third Monday of January every year. Based on these GradCafe results, if you look at a calendar, you'll notice the following: In 2022, MLK Day fell on January 17 and the earliest GradCafe result that I could find was posted the next day. (I ignored the January 9 posting because I think it might have been fake, an error, or something more informal, since it doesn't match up with any of the other years.) In 2021, MLK Day fell on January 18 and the earliest result that I could find was posted on that day. In 2020, MLK Day fell on January 20 and the earliest result that I could find was posted three days later. In 2019, MLK Day fell on January 21 and the earliest result that I could find was posted the next day. As I mentioned before, I couldn't find any results tagged under "Interview" for Fall 2014 through Fall 2018. In 2013, MLK Day fell on January 21 and the earliest result that I could find was posted on that day. Only 2012 was different. MLK Day fell on January 16 that year (just like this year), but the earliest result that I could find was from the next Monday. If you notice, this year is actually different from all of the years mentioned above because unlike those years (with the exception of 2012 of course), MLK Day 2023 actually falls on the third week of the month instead of the fourth week. Based on this, I think we might actually hear back early next week on Monday, January 16, or Tuesday, January 17.
  24. @miucciamonday47 Oh wow, congrats on getting an interview! That’s great! Then I’m guessing you’re not the one who posted the result for the Counseling Psychology PhD on the results page. Is that right? This is my first time applying for a PhD, so I wish I knew more but unfortunately don’t. I don’t even know if each of the programs accept at least one person every year or if some programs might not accept anyone at all in some years. I wondered about that.
  25. Oh, this is so exciting! By the way, is this r/gradadmissions or is it another subreddit?
