  1. Is there a sequence in which you’d recommend taking your courses with the MPPA program?
  2. Got into Carleton’s MPPA. Received 15k worth of funding. Good luck to everyone who’s applied. Most likely will accept.
  3. Did you all receive an email? Or what it that you just check the Carleton 360 portal? Mine changed late yesterday to: “Under Review by the Facultyof Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs" 😬.
  4. For Carleton’s MPPA, mine went from recommended to assessment to review in progress by department this afternoon. What does that mean exactly? It’s making me nervous 😬
  5. In terms of McGill I didn’t get in. But, I had applied in September when applications opened. They had said during the information session that those who applied before November 15 would answer around the first week of January. Maybe this will help for your time frame.
  6. Got an offer at McMaster’s digital policy MPA program with a scholarship today super happy. Still waiting on NPSIA “review in progress by department” and Carleton’s MPPA “recommended for assessment”. They haven’t indicated any specialization in my portal. Going to be hard to make decisions now 😂
  7. Still nothing from McMaster, NPSIA, and Carleton’s MPPA. Not sure I really understand the difference between recommended for assessment vs. Review in progress by department. The definitions sound pretty same to me on the website ? if anyone applied to McMaster they said “we hope to have responses ready mid to late February, but early March at the very latest.”
  8. For the MPPA at Carleton I was given a recommend for assessment, and then for NPSIA review in progress by department.
  9. For the MPPA at Carleton I was given a recommend for assessment, and then for NPSIA review in progress by department.
  10. Unfortunately, heard from McGill Max Bell. I didn't get into that one, but I'm not surprised as it's super competitive. I think they only get up to 35 students. Still waiting on NPSIA, Carleton's MPPA, and McMaster. Does anyone know when Carleton is likely to give answers? My application status say "review in progress by department" or "recommended for assessment" at Carleton. Those status definitions all sound the same to me haha
  11. My first time applying to NPSIA! Last time I applied to Queens, UOttawa’s MPA,Carleton’s Political Management and MPPA program! The Carleton MPPA is my second time around now. The rest are my first applications for those schools. I went based off interest of wanting to go into digital policy since I worked for a tech company in policy.
  12. Thanks for the insight, really appreciate it! Essentially, I was told that their admissions was on a rolling basis. So, the sooner you apply the sooner you get an answer! When I went to an info session, they had told me they wanted to get back to everyone that had applied before Nov 15 before Christmas break! But alas still waiting (which is always hard). This is my second time applying to public policy programs since I wasn’t able to get in during the pandemic 2020-21 with high application numbers? more nervous this time around! Good luck to everyone as well!!
  13. Hi folks! Was wondering if anyone applied to Max Bell at McGill and heard anything yet? I was told that applicants that applied before November 15 would be notified before the December break? But I still haven’t heard anything yet. Coming off of working full-time for almost 2 years. Applied to NPSIA, McMaster, Max Bell, and Carleton’s MPPA ☺️!
