I got my rejection letter from NYU today! Won't be going to grad school at all, didn't get great scholarships 😕 will try again next year

Hey all. I was excited to go to Pratt but I didn't get any scholarship, and they gave me a financial aid package of 100k for the first year. There's no way I want to be 100k in debt is there any way I can ask for a scholarship or anything else to get actual financial help? I looked through scholarships but a lot of scholarships seem to be like 1k, not like 20k. Also has anyone heard back from NYU?

I got accepted into Pratt painting and rejected from Columbia yesterday. Right now deciding between Pratt ad SVA for painting!

There definitely is hope! I just turned down my offer from them so hopefully you get that spot

I'm panicking because I just finished my interview with Pratt Painting and I overprepared by having a transparent sticky which made me more nervous and I feel like it didn't go well. I kept stumbling over my words and I don't even think I answered one of their questions sighh.

I got admitted into SVA and MICA for Painting today! MICA scholarship is 15k/academic year. I'm praying that there's still room in Pratt and need to re-prep for the interview. For those who have been accepted to Pratt Painting, I'm a bit confused as I have my interview this Friday. Do they just accept people on a rolling basis? I thought they'd interview everyone before accepting them?

I also realised I never submitted my Columbia Financial Aid page, but it was due February 1. Do I even bother doing it now? I never got an interview but the application seems to be open.

I also applied to NYU Steinhardt and I'm stressed because today's the last day to submit scholarship essays, but I really don't have the energy to do it also haven't heard anything from them.

Just got rejected for Hunter in Painting. Now I'm mainly waiting for Columbia (but got no interview), Pratt, and NYU

I already did my interview last week it was hard, she asked me so many questions but luckily I prepped for them. I don't *think* there will be another interview or at least I hope not!

Hi lebleu! The email said that I am selected as an interview finalist, and they expect final decisions mid-march. So I am not accepted yet. I don't think I can fly in to view the campus, so I really hope that doesn't affect my chances

They said official decisions will be announced mid-March. They then invited us to campus tour, another virtual panel for questions, and counselor appointments. All for MFA painting

Thank you so much!! There was only 1 interviewer (there's 2 faculty members for the painting program at MICA), and I def recommend research on both the program and professor. It's nice to show that you researched the person interviewing you. They also might ask which professors you want to work with (in my case theres only 2 so they didn't ask that). She also asked why this school and what stands about about their program.

Just finished my MICA interview! Questions were extremely fast paced, I stumbled over a few of them because I was nervous. Luckily I prepped for any question possible but tbh could have prepped more. It seemed to have go well and I'm so glad I did my research!! I also completely forgot to change my zoom name before but the interviewer was late anyways so thankfully she didn't see that mistake.

I realised I did not email a thank you to the person who interviewed me last Wednesday. Is it too late to email them now?

Hi, I applied in Painting in everything! I got no interview from both RISD and Pratt. Pratt confirmed they've received my application. They are waiting for my college transcripts and cannot proceed with evaluation until they have my materials. They didn't ask for an official one though. RISD said my application is under consideration, and in order to be considered for funding I will need to complete this financial aid form. I think I either imagined it or I can't find it (acceptance date). According to the RISD portal: We release decisions for graduate applicants in March. We will email you when your application has an update.

No official update from Pratt, but they did ask me to submit my transcript so they are in the process of reviewing applications. They said they'd send acceptances in March. Same with RISD, I didn't get an interview but I got an email asking to fill out my financial aid form. It's probably just so they can look through applications I'm guessing? I have my MICA interview on Friday ahhH!!!!

I was trying to make myself feel better about my rejection. I understand that students do that though.

Rejected from Yale ? not hugely upset about it as I do want to live in NYC. Now I'm really praying for Pratt and Columbia!!
