Anyone heard anything from U of Toronto biostat Ph.D. program? It seems in previous years they have sent out several rounds of offers but I haven't heard of any updates for this year yet.

I was interviewed by a UFL biostat professor in early Feb. The professor said that I should expect an update on decision in early to mid March. However I also know some interviewees got verbal offers during their interviews.

I totally missed the survey... and emailed the committee few days ago. They replied "It was only being used to help with the application reading process, but it does not affect your chances of being admitted."

I didn't find a probability course in your description, which might be a prerequisite for most statistics phd programs. Did any of your math courses cover that? If yes and you have a strong recommendation letter from a stat prof, I would personally think 30-50 schools would have a chance. (I am also from an econ background and applying for stat phd programs, and that's what I have researched for) btw, any interest in quantitative programs at business schools? e.g. Purdue (Quantitative Methods), U Miami (Management Science)， U Notre Dame (Analytics), they also have some professors doing stat/ml
