@clss2023Heard back from Michigan. They only let me know my application status because I emailed them. Nothing was posted on ApplyWeb or their own student portal. On top of everything, they addressed the letter using my middle name which is on absolutely none of my correspondence with them except my initial application. Needless to say but I'm quite disillusioned with them at this point.
A couple of questions:
Any opinions on the pros and cons of doing a Post Bacc?
Does anyone have experience doing a Post Bacc before attempting to apply to PhD programs again (after getting only rejections)?
First rejection: Cornell
Got the official letter then a follow up from the director of the grad school. Was told they aren't taking students on the archaeology track for Classics this year due to lack of archaeology based funding.
@PugLife95 Also in the archaeology realm and haven't heard anything back yet. Really hoping to know something by the end of this week. *also refreshing email for the umpteenth time*
Hi everyone! Just found this website and thought I'd join in. I've applied for PhD programs in Classics at Cornell and Harvard, ISAW at NYU, AAMW at UPenn and IPCAA at Michigan. I did my undergrad at UWO in Canada and my Masters in Scotland so the American system is very daunting! Anxiously awaiting responses from the schools but UPenn is my dream.
