  1. Same. They have been sending some random mails for a while. I did not apply also. Looks like they are trying to enlarge the applicant pool
  2. Applied to 6 PhD programs with three fee waivers lol. This shit is expensive with taking and sending your GRE/TOEFL scores. Applying to less programs makes me feel so insecure.
  3. deafening silence. this is absolute shit show.
  4. Did you get an info on this or is it like a prediction
  5. Quick edit to this. NW said to be *completed* in a few weeks. Previous years they sent results in couple waves. The site also says to be completed in February. Perhaps we could hear some acceptances for some sub-fields in the near future.
  6. i was thinking earlier but Boston put my guess in a shaky ground
  7. Good luck for tomorrow everyone. Let's hope the news will arrive quickly. I have a good feeling for the next week!
  8. Yes this is a very relevant info for international applicants. Pls some guidance
  9. I do not want to mislead you. I know it from a personal correspondence from a few days ago. Nothing official.
  10. Can't wait for February to arrive. I know that Cornell has already gathered it's admission committee. NW says "in a few weeks" (assuming 3 weeks). Waiting for BU but I lost my hope for January. My gut tells me it is postponed to first week of Feb
  11. Congrats everyone ???????
  12. My thoughts exactly!
  13. I am getting angrier each day that goes by... A pure anxiety and rage. Anyone else?
  14. My guesses are BU: Within a week. Could be tomorrow, could be 1st of Feb. At this point only god knows. Cornell, NWU: 13-17 Feb. JHU: Around 20 Feb. UPenn: March?
  15. Losing my hope for today
  16. Generally speaking, last week of January. Sth like 20-26 Jan. Then there are rejections, or second call of acceptances.
  17. Looks so. Tomorrow is a new day, let's see
  18. Dude when i got the notification mail for this reply, i thought for a minute it was from a Grad School. Turned out to be Grad Cafe... Had a minor hear attack ?
  19. I am getting really impatient with the whole waiting game...
  20. Did you guys apply for CP as well?
  21. Good morning everyone! I am guessing that Boston University decisions will be rolled out today - or in 1-2 days. It looks like historically they have sent out their acceptances within this week. If anyone got any updates pls let the forum know. Thanks!
  22. I also got mixed feedback on this question. A faculty member in gradadmissions subreddit suggested me to do it. I got really anxious and just mailed them.
  23. Hey guys, Did you contact with potential advisors before the applications? Is it a major red flag not to do so? I did not contact with any faculty prior to application deadlines. Just mailed them a week ago - after I got really anxious. Not sure if it is a major thing. I'm an undergrad so really inexperienced in this application stuff.
  24. Hey guys, So lots of action going on in the last couple days. I am assuming that Boston U will also come in a few days time. No insight info or whatsoever but just intuition and data from previous years tell me that it will be out within next week. Also not PhD but I got an admission offer from SOAS London for MA in Middle Eastern Studies. Although the funding will be a major concern, I really feel like it is a good first step in the admissions marathon. Really wanted to share it with the forum!
