That Mizzou rejection is mine.
-
Don't check your email. In fact, how does one check their email these days? Don't all the incoming "letters" automatically (=instantaneously) appear on the screen(s) of your device(s) once they are delivered? My gmail is installed on both my iPad and iPhone, so I am immediately made aware when an email flies in... )))
-
Any slightest idea when Minnesota and NW might possibly appear?
-
Schools don’t give a crap about anyone or anything. Their logic is simple: Don’t like something? Don’t apply. Also, they could have specified desired applicants’ profiles on their admission requirements page: research interests, skills, publications, etc. However, they don’t do so because they want to get as much free money as possible. Even those who neither fit the program nor satisfy the guaranteed admission requirements end up applying (kheh, spending money, I mean) - just in case. Maybe I’ll get lucky. Maybe the cycle is not as tough this year…
-
Yup. You're speaking facts now.
-
Have many of you applied to Mizzou, folks?
-
A few days ago I said that BU would not send out the decisions at the same time as in the previous years, and the guess turns out to be a good one: Nothing from BU so far.
-
It is Monday already where I am, so I am officially into the timeline now. ))
-
I got an email to check my status page - and there is said that I had been denied admission. That’s it. I assume you might have been put on hold, or they are just busy and will send the rest of the letters sometime soon.
-
AN UPDATE ON MIZZOU: The decisions are going to be released sometime next week at the earliest or the week after at the latest.
-
From this list, BostonU and PittU are silent so far. I thought I would have heard something from Boston by now, but oh well... Seems like either next week or the week after.
-
Do those UT Austin offers some of you have received come with funding already?
-
People, when do Mizzou decisions normally roll out?
-
Now I am here to claim one of those recent WUSTL rejections. International, CP/IR, qualitative, straight out of BA (no MA), one co-authored publication, one co-authored conference paper, work experience, participation in several PoliSci/Economic forums.
-
When do those normally come round?
-
Yup.
-
This week is one possibility, although this could stretch to as far as the middle of Feb.
-
Also, a friendly reminder: If you want to talk about this application cycle / share news / whatever on Telegram, come on in @thegradcafe. There are just six of us for now.
-
Update [McGill University]: if you’ve applied there, no results until Feb - the beginning of March for Ph.Ds; and no results until March - beg of April for M.As
-
Hello! Well, if that does happen, this will be my first rejection/acceptance of the cycle. In any case, news is always a good thing when it comes to grad apps.
-
Gotcha! Thanks.
-
It will be a major faqap if I submit my application for the scholarship, and a couple of hours later my rejection comes in... ahahahah ))
-
eheheheh I am literally writing my essay for the scholarship as I type this... )) Got a rec letter arranged today, and the video is going to be recorded later today, I guess...
-
Yay! And which of your schools was that? Also, did she personally send you an email, or how was this arranged?
-
Agreed. I’d even say that all the decisions might be known by the end of February.
