I would go to UCSD. A friend went to Austin and had an "eh" time in the Painting MFA but now they have a good job at the University. In general I think 3 years is a better deal. Austin is not as expensive as San Diego but it isn't cheap to live there either.

Hi found out today i was rejected from Tulane (painting).
-
My Tulane interview was pretty casual. They asked the regular interview questions. I think the program is really small from what I gather. The faculty who interviewed me were friendly. I hope you hear back!

i heard i was accepted to UT Knoxville (painting) yesterday via phone call but unfortunately not with funding...so no GTA although maybe I can apply for an Assistantship in another dept outside of Art. rejected from wisconsin accepted to U of Iowa! waiting to hear from: OSU, UIC (assuming rejection from both of those schools) and SUNY Buffalo and Tulane (interviewed).

HI! i have an interview coming up and was wondering if anyone has any good questions to ask during the interview about their MFA program? I don't really even know where to begin since I basically go off what the website to get information about each school's specific MFA program. also, has anyone heard from SUNY Buffalo or University of Illinois Chicago yet? i applied to OSU and Wisconsin for painting and haven't heard anything and I see some have been interviewed and even accepted so...that leads me to believe that I am not in the running. good luck everyone!
