I interviewed with Penn at the end of January, but haven't had any communications from them since then (despite foolishly refreshing ApplyWeb every 2 hours). In the interview I was told that decisions were going to be released around the middle or end of February, but that that was only an estimate and it could be earlier or later. It's the only program I haven't heard from, however.
Saw someone post a Hopkins acceptance but I reached out to my POI over the weekend who said the dept hasn’t had their shortlist meeting yet. A good reminder that nothing makes sense ever with applications.
It's probably nothing, but on ApplyWeb one of my applications' status is now marked as "complete" (not sure what it was before—maybe "submitted") as of yesterday. Everything was submitted (on time of course) back at the beginning of January. Does this indicate anything? It's the only application where any activity has been noted on ApplyWeb since submission, so I'm curious why.
Huh okay thanks! I had a lengthy convo with my POI back in October that covered the same stuff I’ve been asked in interviews this month, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s not an interview for that app.
My interviewers said that I could expect a decision by 15 February and quite possibly earlier, so at least there’s some defined timeframe for all of this!
Does anyone know if AH programs tend to interview a lot of applicants, or just the ones they're particularly interested in? I know it varies school to school, but just in general how good of a sign is it to get an interview offer?
Has anyone heard from Hopkins? I had a long convo with my POI back in November that covered basically everything I've been asked in proper interviews, so wondering if they'll ask for a more formal interview soon.
