I've been checking gradcafe. Seems like Michigan is over but idk why they would wait so long to send out rejections if that's all they have left. And haven't heard a peep from Virginia and Brown other than that they've typically notified somewhere around March 6-16 in previous years. Any extra insight on Brown, Virginia, or Michigan notifying fiction?

Having the South Carolina waitlist has been a buoy for me, and I really hope I get off of that one. Without that I think I'd be doing much worse. But it's been hard on more fronts than grad school so I could really use a win sooner rather than later.

Just got my Boston rejection. Three left, and not confident about any of the remaining. “Dear Applicant” like they weren’t going to bother even with names yikes

Waitlist is such a weird feeling but I like to look on the bright side. The program really wants you! They just don’t quite have the space. And they might still yet. I know that’s the hope I’m riding on myself right now.

Did anybody get in somewhere where they missed a call at first? Second day missing a call but it’s from a completely different number than yesterday. I’m 99% it’s spam since they didn’t leave any message. Tired of them playing with my heart! I really wanted to wake up to more news but alas.

About 98% sure I'm going to spontaneously combust before I get these results back. Let me iiiiiiiiiin

Actually, has anybody gotten rejected from Michigan yet? Since apparently there's already been at least some acceptances and waitlists for poetry and fiction.

Was this the school that gave poetry acceptances in two batches, first call and then others via email? Just holding out hope for an acceptance. Surely waitlists at least aren’t finalized or the rest of us would have gotten our rejections by now.

No, and I really thought I would have heard by now given they made it sound like they wanted to conduct some interviews this year!

I don't know where all you've applied, but I envy whoever has the pleasure of completing an MFA with you in the room. You've been very pleasant and helpful on this forum throughout the crapshoot this process is, and I'm glad you've gotten a second chance at attending a program this round. Edit: I'll be streaming A&W extra hard in your honor.

These programs are really hard to get into. If you got into any of them, your writing was “good enough” already. The same application another year could do much better or much worse. Personally I’d take the guaranteed admission. Don’t bother. Nerves are normal, but this shouldn’t make or break you.

My friend just got great news — a first acceptance, and into their top program (in a different field), so now I'm really gunning to hear something nice from the rest of my applications. I guess only time will tell, but I don't appreciate these schools that have let some people know things and left others with nothing. Spit it out already!!

Same exact experience here in South Carolina. I’ve chosen to believe any time I don’t hear and others have that good news may still come — or that I’ve at least passed a “round” of rejection

208 is an Idaho area code that spills into Oregon a little. We often keep our numbers when we move so any US number could be news depending on where the caller is intially from. That said, I do get a lot of spam from random US numbers, so it could just be that. I’m crossing my fingers for you!

Sadly, you just don’t know until it’s over. I thought the silence UofSC has given me was a surefire rejection until the waitlist came in. I think most programs tend to notify all accepted within a week or so, Iowa I think is the most spread out. Otherwise, the waiting game continues. I’m desperate for fiction notices from BU and Michigan myself; i’ve mostly seen poetry going out

They mean that it could suggest all acceptances and waitlists are out, aka the rest of us are waiting for a rejection. Only time will tell!

Email or call? Holding out for… waitlist, I guess. Entering the last half of my applications is so scary ? Hoping for a full acceptance somewhere in the remaining.
