Hi! I made it to Phase 2 (fiction) for Ole Miss but haven't heard anything since...do you mind me asking when you heard back? Assuming, as they're doing an accepted students weekend and I haven't heard that I am...not among the accepted students, lol, tho maybe they're staggering fiction / poetry? (copium) I got accepted with funding to WKU, but I'm waiting to accept their offer until I've heard back from Ole' Miss. Wanna keep my options open. Congrats on your acceptance to Mississippi!!

I agree with what everyone else is saying, adding that if you're pursuing an MA with the intention of getting an MFA afterward, then your postgraduate career just turned from a 2-3 year program to a 3-5 year experience. Which, depending on where you're at in life, can mean you're entering the "workforce" later than your peers to rack up a lot of extra schooling and potential debt in service of a career path that (statistically) isn't super lucrative

Hi! Just found this forum and it seems like a wonderful community - so happy to find other people going through this same process. I've gotten rejections from Vanderbilt, Cornell, and (just today!) NC State. However, I'm in phase 2 for ole' miss. Anyone know...what that actually means, in terms of how many people are still being considered and what the likelihood of acceptance is at this point?
