  1. I actually love public speaking, I believe I am one of those persons that likes the sound of their voice. I also had a lot of practice public speaking as a child so I am sure this has helped a lot.
  2. I will be starting Grad school this fall and my SO is in undergrad at the same school. The hard part I imagine will be the schedules, because most of his classes are during the day and majority of mine are at night. But I think we will have weekends so it should be ok.
  3. I graduated in 2005 and have been in the military since graduating. I am very nervous about going back to school. I do not think I will feel odd to be around young people because for the past 6 years I have worked with people almost 8 years younger and 15 years older than me. I thought it was weird at first to be around so many young people, but it was nice to get to know a diverse group of people. I do not think the work experience gives me a leg up because I am going from nuclear engineering to health admin. However I do believe that my time management skills are better than what they were back when I was in undergrad. But amidst all the nervousness I am 100%excited.
  4. I was at work checking my work email, and I received an email from my POI with the subject "MHA Admission". I thought it was a response to my application material email i sent but it said "Congratulations ..." . I just sat in the chair and smiled really big. Then I told everyone who would listen. Easily on the top of my list of the best things that have happened for me.
  5. This is one area which was positive for me because I am currently active duty so all fees were waived. Now all I need is to get accepted somewhere.
  6. I applied to one program MHA . I am pretty nervous because I am currently in the military (almost 6 years) and the best I could do for LORs were from my supervisors and officers so I do not know if that is enough to cut it. I am also nervous because if I am not accepted it will make changing professions much more difficult as the rate I am currently in is engineering based and I want to switch to health based.
  7. A little background: I have a B.S. in Community Health administration and planning, I am in the US Navy and I work as an Electrical Enginneer (more or less). I will have completed 6 years by next fall term. I want to apply for a Master's in Health Administration. My question is how am I supposed to write a resume of relevant work experience when I spent the last 5 years as an electrician? I can not omit the resume because it is part of the package, but I also want to show that I can follow directions and send in the proper material. I also do not know if I should contact the school and inform them or not. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
