  1. Update: got in and did not receive funding. All I know is pain.
  2. Got my email at 10:52 eastern time but i'm getting the ol' 500 internal server error, anyone else get this?
  3. No email yet for me, cellular and molecular biology committee. Edit: To anyone reading this, from browsing last years thread, emails will likely be coming out over the course of the next several hours, and there does not appear to be any rhyme or reason to the order, so your best bet is just to wait patiently. Don't worry if you haven't received an email yet.
  4. EVERYONE GET IN HERE ITS HAPPENING
  5. Lol well guess we’ll call it for tonight, see y’all tomorrow for round 2?
  6. Lmao I think we all need to be spending this NSERC money on therapy
  7. Yep seconding this. Basically there’s nothing you can do but wait for the email from NSERC about setting up extranet account, and then there will be some more waiting after that. You won’t learn anything by constantly refreshing your application page right now
  8. Normal. Nothing will show up until results are released.
  9. Unless something has significantly changed from previous years, your results will not be released in the same place you submitted the application. Ie the page where it says “received” is obsolete now, the results will be released in a new portal that we have not been given access to yet
  10. It sounds like they might’ve notified departments/scholarship offices. Some scholarship offices share this information with students/supervisors but this is more of an exception than a norm. Basically we just need to be patient…
  11. People on this forum trying to find a pattern in how and when NSERC releases results like
  12. I’m convinced that this forum is just a place for neurospicy graduate students to come and be validated that there are others like us with habits for compulsively and anxiously refreshing things that aren’t due to change for weeks
  13. Depends if the tri-councils are effected by the strike or not... unclear at this point Been wondering the same thing, I think it varies between universities and departments. Are there any award holders who can comment on how their pay changed once they received the award?
  14. According to this Reddit thread NSERC isn’t unionized so presumably not part of the PSAC strike so maybe we’ll be okay? there is a nationwide walkout planned for may 1st by the support our science folks! Friendly reminder that while CGS-D and PGS-D are prestigious awards their value hasn’t increased for TWENTY years 🙃
  15. I wonder if we'll have to wait even longer now that federal government workers are going on strike...
  16. Nice that CIHR actually gives y'all a date...All us NSERC folks get is "April"
  17. R.I.P. to your productivity today, hope you get good news soon
  18. Yeah schools are notified of results also, usually at about the same time as applicants as I understand it (my source for this is creeping previous threads on this forum so take everything I say with a grain of salt). You applied for CIHR correct? I think CIHR results usually come out earlier than NSERC, they were released April 15th last year, so maybe the results are about to be released and you got CGS-D 🤷‍♂️
  19. Do you know if the ones approved were for CGS-D, PGS-D, or both? if that's for PGS-D damn that is a lot more competitive than NSERC (stats here)
  20. I didn't apply to vanier, only CGS/PGS-D, this is me watching everyone in this thread get vanier results while waiting for my CGS/PGS-D results
  21. Yeah usually results aren't out until the end of April and I don't think there's a specific day they set to release it like there is for CGS-M. I was creeping a thread on this forum from last year and results came out on April 26th last year.
