  1. Yeah, it's worth asking them again. I turned down my offer - with substantial funding - this week
  2. Hiii....so I got into all of my top programs, however, money is a major concern so I'll have to (sadly) turn down GPPI, SAIS, and SIPA. sigh. breaks my hurt. That leaves me with SIS and GW (Elliott). I got a really tempting financial offer from American so I'm inclined to pick it over GW (both programs are in ID). There isn't a great deal of difference between the programs and I basically need an opinion on whether it would be bad decision to pick SIS over Elliott. Both schools are great, but I get the impresison that Elliott is more highly regarded in the DC area. However, elliott's funding offer doesn't compare to SIS's. Is it worth it to save money (30k a year) and go to SIS? Any feedback from current SIS students...DC area people?
  3. I just got an email an hour ago...accepted! (with $$$$)
  4. Just got my email from GPPI! Need some guidance on the scholarship statement.....one page single or double spaced? Good luck to everyone else!
  5. Hi....I'm having major issues with my letters of recommendation! I have a professor and a supervisor at work writing me letters but my third recommender from a previous internship backed out after initially agreeing....my question is, does it reflect negatively on an application if two of the letters come from different supervisors within the same organization....I'm considering asking my other boss to also write a letter... (I don't have a lot of other good options...one previous supervisor from a a past internship left the organization and I'm not sure where he is and another one can only speak French!) I'd appreciate some feedback...thanks!
  6. Hi... I'm looking into applying for International Development/Public Policy programs for Fall 2011. I'm very confused about what programs I should pick....would appreciate some feed back. Based on my experience/grades what would be some good programs to apply to? (also getting some funding is crucial!) GPA: 3.63 (top 15 liberal arts college), honors in International relations study abroad experience GRE: 660V/720Q/5.0 AWA minimal quantitative experience Washington DC internship experience and developing country work experience (education non profit) for 9 months Programs I'm looking into: GW-Elliot, Columbia-SIPA, GPPI, NYU-Wagner, Fordham-IPED......need some good back up schools...suggestions? Thanks!
