Hi, Just to say that I was offered a place at Laurier (part-time, non BSW) off the waitlist this afternoon. Beyond happy and grateful to the person who declined their place! Good luck to anyone else waiting!

wondering if you're waiting for regular track online part-time? or advance standing? As I know many are still waiting for advanced standing part-time..

I am wondering the same thing! I'm trying to stay calm and focus forward. However, quite tricky... (I'm sure you can relate!)

This is what they said to me: (and I've accepted to be placed on the wait-list) The review of applications to the MSW Online Part-Time program for Fall 2023 is now complete and while we are unable to offer you admission, you are being contacted at this time to ask if you would be interested in being placed on the wait list. We ask that you do not contact us in regards to your “position” on the wait list. If you are interested in being placed on the wait list, a response (accept or decline) to this email is required on or beforeFriday, July 14, 2023. If we do not receive a response your application will be closed.

I was thinking the same thing about the June 1st deadline. I was just so emotionally drained from the application process!

Sorry to read this. You have great experience! Just for reference.. I have 27000 hours of direct social work paid experience, 2 BA's one in Soc and another I've just completed in Thanatology at Kings with an 85% average a SSW diploma from 1998 (and I was a RSW in the UK for 12 years) and just received the email that I've only been waitlisted for the Laurier part-time MSW. I feel very disappointed as it's been quite the journey for me to get to this stage (I have very young children also). It's a difficult process and long wait! All the best in the future.

Many Congratulations! I didn't realize the application was open for the Part-time Laurier non-BSW program until March 2023. I had to have all of my documents in by mid-dec 2022. Still waiting on pins and needles!
