Hey y'all! I am currently doing grad applications for Fall 2024 admissions. Could anyone comment on how my chances are for those admissions? Also, advice on revising my school list would also be much appreciated! Backgrounds: 4th year in ChemE, UT Austin (GPA: 4.0/4.0); international applicant (no green card); 3 years of research experience (computational chemistry & ionic liquid research); 2 co-authored manuscripts in preparation; no industry experience, one semester tutor experience; strong (hope so) recommendations from 2 research supervisors and 1 course professor (did pretty well in that quantum mechanics class); multiple presentations in UT research forums but no national conferences. PhD interest area: computational research in material discovery & characterization (AI/ML-driven) Schools: MIT (ChemE-CSE joint, MSE-CSE joint); Stanford MSE; Caltech MSE; Berkeley MSE; Georgia Tech ChemE; Princeton ChemE; Carnegie Mellon ChemE; UIUC ChemE; UC Santa Barbara; Northwestern ChemE; UT Austin MSE; U of Maryland ChemE; U of Florida ChemE. Also, any suggestions for how to showcase my strengths in the applications for any of these schools? Many thanks!
