haha yes, planning to learn some R over the summer!

I have basically no quant background and I got into UW-M! I picked programmes that didn't need the GRE and emphasise mixed-method research. It's obviously had mixed results haha but I'm super excited about the program I got into. ETA: I do think it probably doesn't help with some programs though, but it doesn't make it impossible for sure. My subfield is American which is a quant heavy field You can also learn quant methods once you're in, which is what I intend to do!

You'll get a student discount once you're in though (assuming you're not currently a student!) so maybe worth waiting anyway?

I'm not making any decisions until I've seen funding, but I'd only *possibly* reject Wisconsin for Michigan (out of my personal list). It is also worth noting that not all programmes waitlist - e.g. I believe Wisconsin don't

I don't believe so, all the results from previous years have been acceptances or rejections - the rejections usually a day or two later
