  1. Thank you!!! I am still deciding between two places, but don't worry I already rejected/withdrawed from the other 4 offers, so I am not blocking a load of waitlist spots (I know more than most how excruciating being waitlisted can be).
  2. Hey, I feel you! The first time I applied I got into an MA program. The second time I was waitlisted at 3 programs and then rejected from all 3. The third time I was waitlisted at 2 programs and then rejected from both (even after a whole prospective weekend for one of them). This year, I applied for the fourth time despite not having much hope and I received acceptances from 6 places!!! (UW, UNC, UMich, Duke, Cornell, and Brown). So all I can say is have patience and perseverance and if this is actually what you want to do, don't give up! Also, it is important to remember that this does not define you as a person or a scholar!! If you need wanna talk more about this, feel free to DM me!
  3. Did anyone else hear from Princeton yet? I applied to the Philology track not PAW and I did not get an interview, but did they even interview for the Philology track? I thought I only saw PAW people on here get interviews, but please correct me if I am wrong. Do you think they might put people on waitlists who did not get interviews, because I got two waitlist offers and then eventually one acceptance without an interview. Additionally, is anyone here going to Brown's prospective weekend in mid March and if so did you get interviewed? One of my friends got the prospective weekend invite without an interview and another got a Zoom interview then an invite.
  4. I got a rejection from DAGRS earlier in the week. And I know from a contact within the department that they have made their shortlist and notified those people. So if you haven't heard anything, that might be a rejection or a waitlist. Also, my friend texted me literally 7 minutes ago saying she got a rejection from Cornell. She is a classicist who applied to the Interdisciplinary track and she got a personal email from the Chair of the Department saying the competition was fierce and that they are very sorry they could not offer her admission.
  5. Also, just got a rejection from UChicago, which I was kinda expecting so not too crushed about it. I applied to the Phil track. It was just a generic email to check the portal and then a generic rejection on the portal.
  6. For Michigan: I applied to the languages/Phil track and they emailed me last Friday saying I am on the waitlist. I did not get interviewed.
  7. Congrats! Can I ask what track you applied to?
  8. Also, Congrats to the person who got the Princeton interview! Did you apply to the Phil track or the PAW track over there?
  9. Congrats! Just wondering what track did you apply to/what's your speciality? And do you know if they have sent out all the interview requests?
  10. Thank you! I send the same luck and wishes to you!! Maybe we will end up becoming colleagues at UChicago lol.
  11. Thanks for responding! I am also anxiously checking my email and the waiting is getting to me a bit lol. UChicago usually sends out interview requests really early in my experience (as in first two weeks of Jan), but since there are no posts in the Results section either, maybe they are moving slower this year or have decided not to interview entirely? Who knows, this process is excruciating honestly.
  12. Asking for a friend: Has anyone heard anything from Duke, Brown, or UNC? Asking for me: Has anyone heard from UChicago or UMich? There seems to be nothing on the results page, but I don't know if that is because things are moving slower than normal or if people are just not posting. We both applied to Philology and Lit tracks for the most parts. I would appreciate any info! Have the interview requests been sent for any of these programs that you all know of? Thanks and Congrats to anyone who has received an interview!
