    I was wondering if someone got the offer from Iowa State. I applied to ALT program at ISU, and am still waiting for the result. I decided to join GSU, but I was wondering if I got rejected.

    Hello, I had an interview on Jan 31 but still have no updates so far either. I just choose GSU regardless of ISU. Fingers crossed for you!

    Hello, may I ask you what does it mean by recommend you? I don't think there are other ways I can recommend you when I decline their offers though. I understand other applicants who are in the waitlist can get notification when available. Please let me know if I misunderstand.

    Hello, I applied to Language Education and Multilingualism (LEM) program at Graduate School of Education (GSE). I got one of the prestigious fellowships, but also I am waiting for a fellowship nomination from Georgia State! I would see how it goes!

    Got waitlisted in Linguistics & Applied Linguistics at the Arizona State University. Also, got admission with generous fellowships at SUNY Buffalo.

    Got an email from U of Arizona's SLAT PhD program. I am waitlisted, and I am on the third. Not sure if I would be able to move up and get offer.

    I get what you mean. In my case, he asked me very detailed questions, making it hard for me to respond at some point. Finger crossed for all of us!

    It seems like somebody has gotten the official mail (probably rejection news) from Hawaii. I cannot expect how my status will go since my official interview was pretty intense and I am not that confident in my performance!

    Thanks for your note! I am an international student too, and I am also considering living expenses and location as critical aspects in choosing a school and program. Only one thing I am worried about is that living expenses and house rental prices in the city of Atlanta are way higher than I was thinking. I am still thinking and calculating how it would be living in that area. But I was fascinated by the applied linguistics program at Georgia State!

    Thanks for your reply. I have got offers from FSU, GSU with assistantship and some others without funding support up to now. Still waiting for other offers as well, but I would choose considering funding support condition!

    Hello, would you mind if I ask you which program is your top choice? I think we have both applied to GSU, ISU, Hawaii, MSU, and it seems like you have been interviewed with GSU, ISU, and Hawaii which is exactly the same as mine! Since you got the offer from GSU, I think we are pretty much overlap together! In the meantime, have you heard any updates from MSU?

    My top choice school and program was MSU's SLS but didn't get any update so far which I think is a silent rejection. I think I need to seek next choice such as GSU, FSU, ISU, and Hawaii.

    Congrats! Hope you get the offer from NAU. I submitted my application to NAU as well, but didn't get interview invitation. I've just finished my Hawaii interview, and it was pretty tough since committee asked me various detailed questions about my research experience and future plans. It was totally not easy, and I would like to say it was my toughest interview ever!

    Hello, thanks for asking. I prefer GSU due to my research fit with my potential advisor. But there are others in ISU, FSU, Hawaii as well. If I get offers from them all, I need to carefully consider everything! Which school and program is your top choice?

    Hello all, I just got the admission offer from Georgia State University via email. I am so grateful for this offer! I am looking forward to living in Atlanta! Regardless of my status after an interview with Hawaii, Iowa State, and Florida State, I would love to accept the offer after comparing the funding situation.
