    Sorry for your feelings! I think if you paid your application fee, then you should have received notification if there were any materials to be completed. At least, I think you can check that your materials were submitted! If it is submitted and reviewed initially by faculties, I think you may have an interview invitation, maybe soon, if individual faculty member's processes are distinct and they process the materials at different speeds. I recommend you reach out to the director of the program!

    Hello, yes, I got an email notification from Iowa State's Applied Linguistics and Technology program! I had my formal interview with two faculties, and they said they would send out an offer letter around late February!

    Hey, thanks for your word! I see that the GSU's application portal does not show anything regarding the application process. Currently, my status on the portal is "Submitted." I got PhD interview notice via email from the director of the graduate program, and I was told I would have a 30-minute Zoom interview with two faculties I mentioned in my SOP. I have finished my interview, and they said they are currently meeting candidates and deciding who they will give an admission offer to. So, if I were in your situation, I would like to email the program, even if I could not be informed right away. Hope this help! and wish you the good luck on your admission process!

    My ISU interview went pretty well. I had a chance to talk with two faculties, asking and answering questions about my research interests and future plans at the program. They said if I get admitted, I could work as a TA, lecturing English writing or public speaking courses to domestic undergrad students. It seems that they have a form of instructor training session before working. Final decisions will be released in a month, at the end of February at least. My interviews were recorded and would be shared with other faculties of the program!

    Hello, thanks for your note! Hope our admission process goes well! In terms of Hawaii prelims, I think that my two prelims was similar. I mentioned three faculties in my sop, but contacted only one, and I had prelim interview with him back in november. And my second prelim was with the other two POIs, they asked me my past experiences, future direction and I could ask them several questions, which I think it is quite general. They told me they are currently meeting candidates who they are willing to consider, listing finalist for the formal interview. I think the final interviewees will be notified couple weeks (hopefully this week! But unsure) I will meet faculties of ISU and GSU today and tomorrow! Hope to share with you!

    Hey, I haven't gotten any mail, not even a rejection from MSU! Is MSU your top choice? I hope you can hear from them soon! Good luck to you! I will let you know if I get a rejection notice!

    Got interview invitation from Iowa State University's Applied Linguistics and Technology PhD program! She said, initial review has been done, and they are inviting potential advisees. They plan to record zoom interview to share other faculties for decision process. The interview will be conducted with two faculties. I will keep posted!

    Had preliminary interview with two POIs in U of Hawaii in which I got TONS OF QUESTIONS! That said, has anyone got interview invitation from Georgia State? I am still waiting for it!

    Hello, I have uploaded my pdf scanned official transcripts. And yes, I know GRE score is needed to apply to NAU! Not sure if it is optional. I just sent it through ETS.

I checked the application status page and something has been updated as follows: Your application has been reviewed by your academic department and a recommendation has been made to the Graduate Admissions Office. The Graduate Admissions Office will complete the final review of your application and will post a final decision letter on this Status Page. Please continue monitoring your Application Status Page for updates. You will be notified by email when an update has been made to your application. I think final decision will be released shortly!

    Hello! Did you apply to Linguistics doctoral program? I know there is Foreign, Second and Multilingual Language Education phd program as well which I think is similar to applied linguistics area.

    My poi of MSU SLS program is Dr. Loewen. I heard that he is not the admissions committee this year. We had good conversation but I think I got rejected from the committee. Let me know your Hawaii process. Thanks!

    Hello, I applied to around 10 Phd programs in SLS and applied linguistics. 1. Michigan State, SLS: might be rejected. No interview invitation. 2. Florida State, Foreign and Second Language Education: Had official interview on Jan 11, waiting for the results! 3. Georgia State, Applied Linguistics: Deadline is Jan 15, under review 4. Northern Arizona University, Applied Linguistics: Deadline is Jan 31, submitted 5. U of Hawaii, SLS: My Poi said I could hear back from them around Jan, but no news at all up to now. 6. Iowa State, Applied Linguistics and Technology: No news 7. University of Iowa: No news (maybe I could hear back at the late Jan) 8. U of Arizona, Second Language Acquisition and Teaching: No news 9. Arizona State, Applied Linguistics: No news 10. U of Minnesota, Second Language Education: Got admission offer but no funding info. I hope this helps!
