It's not over till it's over! Are there other programs you are excited about?

I imagine they will be admitting people without scholarship consideration. Don't count yourself out yet. I don't know your financial situation but I wouldn't be able to do grad school without significant funding and qualified for an application waiver, I imagine that has something to do with being part of the scholarship consideration pool.

Yeah, it's for scholarship consideration. Right after my first interview, I received an email that said they will be making decisions over the month and we should expect to hear from admissions early-mid March. This is the some of the text from the second interview request: "You have been identified as one of the high ranking candidates in our 2024 graduate admissions process and have been recommended to be considered for a tuition reduction scholarship." What department did you apply/interview with?

Got an interview with CMU.

I had both of my interviews with Tyler and Parsons, I was extremely flustered for Tyler but all three faculty were actively trying to make me feel comfortable and asked thoughtful questions about my portfolio. The panel for Parsons was 4 people and 1 current student. They asked a lot of questions about my influences (artists, books, research) and wanted to know what concerns I could see myself having. Did anyone else who interviewed with Tyler remember the date for the in-person interviews for finalists? I didn't write it down...

That's fair, my partner had a similar situation with Yale several years back. Got an interview and waitlisted the first year and outright rejected the second. Total crapshoot.

It sounds like maybe we all got the same copy-pasted email. It is such a gut punch lol. Like y'all don't even want to talk to us? Fingers crossed you hear good news for the rest of your schools! Gaara did you consider any of your acceptances last year? What made you decide to do another round of apps?

I was also rejected from Northwestern just now.
