Does anyone know how the waitlist at RISD MFA works? I have a lot of doubts. - Has anyone gotten accepted from the RISD waitlist? What are the odds? - The letter mentions "parallel" waitlist, does that mean there is more than one waitlist? - Do you still get a scholarship after coming off the waitlist? - Is it a good practice to email the college asking where I stand on the waitlist and what my odds are? Any help or information is much appreciated! Thank you.

Does anyone know when CalArts' financial packages will be out? They mentioned Mid-March and it's already the 15th! Running out of time to make a final decision or appeal for scholarships at other colleges, especially when CalArts could be my best leverage. Note: Seems like everyone received the package at the start of April last year. I hope it doesn't come in that late this time!

Hey guys, updating my college decisions for MFA/MA Graphic Design: US RISD - Rejected Yale - Rejected CalArts - Accepted (Awaiting $ Details) SAIC - Rejected Pratt - Accepted (Awaiting $ Details) CCA - Accepted (50% $) VCUArts - Waitlisted MICA - Accepted (35% $) Boston University SVA- Accepted (85% $) UIC - Accepted (25% $ and TAship for 2nd year with 5k stipend per semester) UK/EU Central Saint Martins - Accepted Aalto - Interview soon Glasgow School of Art - Rejected London College of Communication - Accepted Royal College of Art (2nd round) - Silence Royal Danish Academy - Silence I like all these colleges and I can afford to go into debt to a certain extent. I have no idea if my priority should be to choose a college which is the most economically feasible or the one which is ranked highly!

Hey, guys please shed some insights on how to negotiate for scholarships. Whom should I email? Apart from referencing scholarships from other college acceptances what other strategy can I use? It's all looking too expensive for me and I don't want to defer another year! Need to make a final call within the next few days.

So, I got wait-listed at VCU. Kinda sad. It was my 2nd choice in the US. But anyway, do you guys know how being wait-listed affects the chances of scholarships or any other form of funding? VCU is the only public university I applied to, especially looking forward to the funding!
