Hey folks, For anyone who has attended an in-person interview already (congrats!) .... what did your logistics look like? Did you travel there and back the day of? Were there events other than your interview surrounding the scheduled time? What did you wear?

Hi all, Anyone else apply for the Mid-Career program at Penn GSE? I just got the official email invitation for the on campus interview day next weekend... Curious if anyone else is going and what your travel logistics are? Travel in Friday before? Go there and back the day of? I'm in DC so it's a relatively easy train ride, but I don't want to potentially miss out on activities surrounding the interview event by trying to cram it all into one day. Also.... what are we wearing for grad school interviews these days? Business?

For the mid-career program, they were clear throughout the process that they invite EVERYONE to a group interview on 2/10. I also got an auto-email when I submitted my application that I'd get more information from the department about next steps. But.... I haven't heard anything yet and I'm getting antsy to book my travel logistics, especially if they are out of pocket expenses!

Not sure about PhD.. I applied for the mid-career EdD and I know the interview weekend is 2/10, but I haven't gotten any further details than that.

Thanks!! I got accepted to GW - they have rolling admissions. Penn and VCU have 2/1 deadlines so I don't expect to hear anything from them anytime soon. The waiting is possibly harder than the application LOL Fingers crossed we both hear (good) news next week!!

I applied Harvard, Penn, GW, and VCU.... A wide variety but all of the programs have their one unique thing that makes them interesting, you know? Harvard is definitely top choice though!!

Did either of you apply to other programs?

I applied! Application was pretty straightforward, I thought. Essays are always tricky to use so few words to try to give a full picture of who you are as a person/candidate.. Fingers crossed we all hear something soon - I'm figuring it'll be end of next week, at best? But I'll still check all of these feeds daily in the meantime LOL
