Has anyone arranged a chat with a faculty member at a program after the initial acceptance call? And if so what did you ask them/talk about? I had a professor say hello via email and I think it would be great to speak with them, but I don't really have any specific questions to ask. I've done enough research to know most of the logistical stuff on the suggested questions list on Draft, and I feel like most of my other questions are more geared towards current students. Just don't want to waste the faculty member's time!

So sorry about your car and that all this is piling up! Just chiming in here to say that I don't know about you, but even when too many good things happen to me in a row I start wondering whether I'm destined to experience something awful soon. And that's not to say that I'm right — but that our anxiety brains can twist anything into a bad omen or an excuse to stress! If you're worried about noticing bad signs, you'll see them everywhere. None of these events are connected to your future or your potential or your talent as a writer. Keep your head up, you'll get through this.

There's an Iowa acceptance on Draft for fiction!!!

A Michigan alum on Draft commented earlier this morning that the previous Michigan notification, at least, was definitely fake... And last year they didn't notify until the last week of Feb.

It just says MFA and doesn't specify creative writing, I wonder if it could be for their art or theater MFA? Wishful thinking, but I don't think I've seen any waitlists yet from them.

This is random, but did you answer the two questions (I think it's genre and one other thing) when you submitted your request to join? One of the mods just posted about an affiliated "Draft community" group, and they said to make sure to respond to the questions when joining, or otherwise they won't approve the request. So if you didn't realize there were questions, maybe that's it! But if you already knew about this - sorry they're being so slow! That's really frustrating.

Looks like there are acceptances for Minnesota (fiction) and Syracuse (poetry) up on Draft!

There's a fiction acceptance for Oregon on Draft in addition to those waitlists. Makes me think they might have already sent out all good news.
