How is it possible to have a standing on the CGSM Portal as "alternate" for a university who didnt even interview or accept you. I got rejected from both the unis on which I am an alternate for CGSM SSHRC. Can someone explain this please?

I emailed admissions myself on April 1 since I was waitlisted in March, got tired of waiting. Got a response back right away saying I didnt get in cuz someone else took first round offer. Email them if you havent heard back yet

Hey all, at this point, a lot of us may know that we officially did not receive any acceptances for the 2024 intake cycle, so I am creating this forum so we can start working on re-applying as applications open up in approximately 7 months (in October) for September of 2025. Hello! For anyone who has attended interview days either this cycle or previously, are there any tips you could provide for doing well? I know there's a lot of information online, but if a professor for example has 4 kids in their roster and they can only recommend one for admission, how do you stand out not just to them but also to all the faculty present that day? Hi everyone, for those who have applied to Clinical programs before, is it safe to assume that if you do not hear from schools by the first week of Feb for interviews that you can assume rejection, especially if other people have been notified of open houses and interview days and such?
