I didn't email them to ask for the status but I got an email from the Associate Program Director that results will be declared by March 18th. However, I still haven't heard from them. -

I guess it's a complex process, and you can't ever be 100% certain about what will tilt the decision in your favor. I am an international Medical Graduate (International MD), who subsequently trained in medicine before moving on to public health and health administration. My MPH too was from an international school. My application was denied by schools such as SUNY Downstate and Mercer based on my educational qualifications being international. I agree with the notion of working at UN/CDC/WHO to make the application stronger. Maybe next cycle, I can somehow add that to my resume. Thank you for your valuable feedback. I appreciate it. And good luck on your future journeys. -

Thank you for the feedback. One of my weak areas was letters of recommendation from the university I went to for MPH. I had a 3.8 GPA, but the faculty didn't put any effort into the letters of recommendation. The letters of recommendation from my employers were top-notch. My application and experience aligned perfectly with DrPH in Global Health. I detailed how I could use DrPh in my current and expanding role as a public health professional. Once again, thank you so much for your feedback. It means a lot. Good luck with your studies. -

I'm genuinely sorry to hear about your rejection. Please hang in there. I know it feels really really bad. I got two rejections simultaneously last night and couldn't sleep all night. -

I would like to know about publications. I have 6 first-author publications, but they were mostly clinical publications, somewhat bordering on public health. I would also like to know about your GPA if that's possible. I have 6 years of training experience as a surgeon and 6 years of experience managing a hospital. However, my experiences, education, and publications are all international, primarily in low and middle-income countries. That's why I chose Global Health because it's designed for professionals in LMICs. Thank you in advance for your willingness to share your experiences and advice. Your support is invaluable to those of us aiming to navigate this journey more effectively in the future. -

I'm genuinely sorry to hear about those who've faced rejections this year. Navigating through the uncertainty and challenges of the application process can be incredibly disheartening, especially when the outcome isn't what you'd hoped for. Please know that each attempt is a step forward, offering valuable insights and experience that contribute to your growth and resilience. To those who have received acceptance letters, congratulations on your remarkable achievement! Your success is not only a reflection of your hard work and dedication but also an inspiration to all aspiring applicants. Your journey and the obstacles you've overcome to reach this point are truly commendable. In light of these experiences, I'm reaching out to successful candidates for advice and insights before they stop visiting Grad Cafe. If you've been accepted and are willing to share, could you please discuss the key accomplishments or experiences that you believe significantly contributed to the strength of your application? Your guidance and recommendations would be immensely beneficial to those of us considering reapplying in the next cycle, as we seek to understand how best to position ourselves for success. Thank you in advance for your willingness to share your experiences and advice. Your support is invaluable to those of us aiming to navigate this journey more effectively in the future. Warm regards and best wishes to everyone, regardless of the outcome this year. -

I too feel being wait-listed is like a No. I don't see a lot of people passing on JHU DrPH for the spots to open up for wait-listed candidates. One or two individuals maybe, but not a lot. -

Hello Everyone. I have been wait-listed for the Global Health Policy and Evaluation track. Thank you everyone. I have been wait-listed for the JHU DrPH Global Health: Evaluation and Policy track. I don't know how the wait listing works and how long we have to wait for a definite answer, but my experience with previous wait lists has not been good. Congratulations to everyone who got accepted. And good luck to everyone who is still waiting for their results. -

Received a rejection from USF this morning. I was devastated because I was looking forward to studying at USF as an in-state student. Now, I have received an email from JHU to check the portal. I'm at work, and very scared of opening the portal. -

Can't plan anything. Can't do anything. Does anybody know if they have a quota for students based on the different tracks? I think the Health Policy and Management concentrations get the maximum number of students. Last year they had around 600 applicants for all concentrations, and they chose around 120 total. so that's like a 20% acceptance rate? Good luck to everyone. I hope everyone on this thread gets in and we all get to be classmates. -

Thank you. That's a lot of help. That happened to me too. They told me to apply to Community Health Practice instead of Health Promotion and Education.
