I wouldnt count it out, I feel like since I havent heard post interview I'm assuming rejection myself. They arent working off any timeline that was listed so who knows. Good luck with all your applications!

No I didn't tour MassArt, I kind of went with it because ideally I'd like to stay on the east coast, and their facilities seem really good but I have other schools that I'm more excited about, including BU. The BU info session was great, I definitely find the funding/ TA opportunities a little concerning but I agree they seem to have an expanded idea of sculpture which is good. Did you tour MassArt?

has anyone heard back from umass amherst? I interviwed on 12/13 havent heard back and no update on my app portal. kind of assuming rejection.

Did anyone else apply to UMass Amherst ? I saw someone last year in here get invited for an interview around Dec 9th and an acceptance really quickly after. Does anyone know if that's typical for the school or was that a fluke.. or maybe a fib lol? There timeline on the site is more like the typical Jan/ Feb but would be great to not have to wait anxiously if that was true.

What concentration? NJ girl here, Rutgers/ Mason Gross is great. Train station right into NYC.

I don't know if there is a forum for 2025 yet , can you tell I'm already anxious lol? But I just registered for National Portfolio Day for grad in November in NYC. Can anyone here speak to how helpful they found that? / What schools attended. I only applied to Rutgers last year, got an interview and was rejected in all fairness I had no idea what I was doing.

whats the general opinion on umass amherst ?

hey hey this was my first year applying, only applied to Rutgers , interviewed ,ultimately rejected. for next year would appreciate any recs for programs to look into: funding prioritized, ideally interdisciplinary but I could fall into a photo program or sculpture program - not horribly opposed to private schools / low on funding but that is a priority. I also attended SVA for my BFA and take studio courses there now in continuing ed if anyone has any questions about sva/ nyc living !

Possible silly question, but for those that interviewed in person what did you wear? Interview business casual feels wrong for some reason.

Did anyone else just get a super confusing email from Rutgers ? I rsvp'd for in person just got an email inviting me for a zoom interview "Friday March 5th" March 5th is a tuesday ... super confused and very anxious/ frustrated. Just me lol?
