  1. I emailed a school asking for a status on my application given the April 15th deadline and received a very quick response with a rejection! (Hunter btw!)
  2. Does most waitlist movement happen on April 15th or is it more like if you haven't heard back by that time, it's most likely a rejection?
  3. Any news from Hunter?? So confused why there's no news on the spreadsheet if they've started interviewing/accepting people last week..
  4. Umm I did the same thing.. I literally smiled reading the letter and immediately hung it on my wall.. there may be something wrong with us lmao
  5. I would take Columbia's offer. They have amazing alums and professors. I live in NYC and it feels extremely expensive to live here even with a full time job and rent on the cheaper end. Also it makes you feel better I know several Columbia grad students with full time and part time jobs.
  6. 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 brown 🕯 🕯 ❤️ fiction 🕯 🕯 notifies 🕯 🕯 tomorrow 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 ❤️ anywhere 🕯 🕯 fiction 🕯 🕯 summoning 🕯 🕯 circle 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯 ❤️ Manifesting <3
  7. Would it be bad to email Hunter and ask when they plan to send out acceptances? Also, is emailing a letter to the program director about how much you want to get off the waitlist a bad idea? Do I just need to wait and stop being neurotic..
  8. I realize it varies but-- around what time do people start making decisions about schools/when do we hear back from waitlists?? I'm begginggg someone to give me an acceptance and put me out of my misery ❤️
  9. @nataliezimm @Hjanep I'm in a similar boat! I agree, living in nyc makes the nyu rejection sting a little more!! I'm consoling myself by knowing I can throw myself at the plethora of literary events going on here and hopefully create a writing community if I don't get accepted anywhere this round
  10. Do you know how many people were admitted for fiction?
  11. I believe Umass acceptances and waitlists have gone out but I don't think there's been any movement on the other two
  12. @jadedoptimist a walk in woods is so nourishing. I wish I had woods near me! I will be trying to escape the winter and grad school blues by going to an art gallery tonight and hopefully finishing A Portrait of Lady this weekend.
