Anyone heard anything about the U of A waitlist recently ? 

I can’t speak specifically to the schools and the programs but I like London as a city more compared to Montreal. I’m from Edmonton and find Montreal way busier and the commuting around London is a lot easier. Montreal is way more of a “city” vibe though if that’s what you’re going for.  That’s just my opinion though! 
I know the academic piece of it is super important but it’s also important to consider the city since you will be living there for two years !!

Hey I reached out and was told by the advisor that they sent out most waitlist offers last week and that if we don't hear back by the end of April, it is likely all the spots for the cohort are filled 

I wish more schools did this!!

Does anyone else’s U of A portal still say their application is in the “pre-screening”  stage?

How do you know what the cut-off was?
And I find this post helpful when stressing about my GPA, its from earlier this year: " I got immediately rejected from Mac (my sGPA was too low to even get an interview) yet I got an acceptance from U of T April 1st. I also got 3 waitlists, McGill, Western and Dal, yet I only got off the waitlist for Dal. There was NO way for me to have predicted these results if I compared my sGPA to other people I assure you." Just basically saying try not to focus on your GPA as its hard to tell what schools are looking for!

Just a heads up for everyone applying to Alberta!
I emailed the academic advisor and they are aiming to send out decisions at the beginning of April, however it may be later than that. So we may be hearing back a little bit later this year.

I would maybe email the advising email? Mine also said I had required actions when I submitted my application but it went away a few weeks ago. What stage is your application at? My “required actions” went away when my application was moved to the pre screening step.
