Hello all, Recently accepted into UChicago's MAPSS and considering my future steps. I understand it's a fast-paced, 1-year program primarily aimed at PhD preparation. However, my focus is on transitioning into the job market afterwards. I'm curious about: Is it possible to extend the program beyond one year, specifically to allow more time for job searching and preparation? If so, what are the conditions or requirements for requesting an extension? Have any of you gone through this process, and how did it impact your job search? Would really appreciate insights or experiences related to extending the program for career purposes. Thanks!
