Go to CalArts then, also they have about the same name value if thats what you are worried about. Also LA > Providence, especially if you want agency work.
Hello, I've decided I'm going to Columbia for sculpture. Really excited about working with the faculty there and being in NYC. I think they are making good changes for the future as well. Recently they have made diverse new hires as part of the full time faculty, and are making two more this year which is great for the future of the program etc. Not to mention their professor to student ratio is the best I've seen.
In all programs I applied to Sculpture
CalArts-Accepted with Full Ride Fellowship
RISD-Accepted with 30k + 5k stipend a year
Columbia-Accepted with 30k a year + teaching fellowship + work options
SAIC-Accepted, no financial aid info yet
UCLA-Rejected
Yale-Rejected
Bard-Crickets
I am in between CalArts and Columbia but have no idea what to do. Any thoughts? This seems like a dumb question since i got a full ride offer but Columbia is my first option but not sure I want to go into debt deciding to go there.
