Committee 2B, surname P here: no money. I actually scored worse than last year though only by a slim margin (this year: 9.35; last year: 9.36) 😅 not sure I'll bother again, though I'm technically eligible for another year. I don't know if putting myself through this fucking ringer a third time is worth it, since they don't seem to like my application any better even though I KNOW it was stronger. I know my project is good, and it's getting written whether they give me money or not. "Recommended for funding" my ass. Honestly, why tell people this? It feels like spitting in the eye of a person who's been rejected. Mazel tov again to those who received funding--and best of luck to my fellows who did not. We go on.

Surname P, committee 2 here--trying really hard not to obsessively refresh the page. I know it'll probably be end of day or even tomorrow morning, depending when I go to bed. Hearing cutoffs above 10 is really stressful, and I'm so sorry to everyone who's heard a denial thus far--your work is worthwhile and important. The judgement of a faceless group of scholars who don't know you and have only seen impersonal documentation doesn't define your quality, and I hope that those who feel it's worth it will press on. And, for those who have received awards thus far: mazel tov! We're all in this together, rising tides, etc etc. I'm hoping for the best for all of us, regardless of results.

Literally, I feel discriminated against 🫠 so frustrating! After all this waiting just to be told "sorry, we're going to be late because you happen to come too far back in the alphabet and we can't be arsed to fix our systems". Jeez.
