I am a mixed media artist completing my BFA in painting, drawing, and graphic design. My main goal is a fully funded aid package from any interdisciplinary MFA in NYC. I have a master doc of all the schools I'm debating applying to. I need to narrow it down to my top 20 choices and go from there. I can share my MFA spreadsheet, if anyone is interested. My current favorite schools from my research are: ✧ School of Visual Arts (SVA) ✧ Pratt ✧ Purchase ✧ Parsons ✧ The City College of New York (CCNY) ✧ NYU ✧ Rutgers Currently my thoughts are on the age old question of should I choose location over funding. I've also been thinking about the few combination MFA/MA degrees. I've seen them offered in art history and in curatorial studies. I'm very interested in curatorial studies because I would like to own my own gallery in the future. What schools are y'all deciding between? How is your process going? 💖

hi I'm not an applicant this season but I am preparing for the Fall 2027 application season. I'm in my junior year of undergrad concentrating in painting, drawing, and graphic design. My current goal is to go to grad school in NYC for an Interdisciplinary program. I have huge master doc of art masters programs I am considering and some baseline information about them including types of funding and types of programs offered. I'm still in the process of creating this but I'll be happy to share it in the few months for any other applicants that might be interested. I'm excited to hear about everyone's 2025 results!!
